After countless failures and setbacks, 
I try to hide from the fear that follows beneath the cover of an umbrella.

My body shrinks, as damp clothes cling tightly to me.

Still too young to grasp the quiet hope hidden in the word 'failure',
we run toward puddles when the rain comes, and build up hills of sand.

Soaked to the bone, that’s when we begin to feel free.
Only when there’s nothing left to keep dry does the sandcastle finally appear
beautiful and bold.

This song begins with a desire to understand oneself.

In the midst of the overwhelming gazes felt in a crowded place and the entangled noise, I shrink back, conscious of the way others seem to pity me for being alone.

The phrase "It's okay to be alone" doesn't truly mean it's okay — it's more of a comforting contradiction, an attempt to console myself within loneliness.
