A New Beginning

This is another one elegetic dark piece from me. My inspiration was a very bad incident in Greece, in Τέμπη, where two trains hit each other and many people died. This incident was a wound in the heart of the Greek people who are protesting against government incapability for many years. I wish you safe and beautiful journeys!

A Breath

Pure focusless ambient. The greatest challenge is to actually stop the production somewhere, these tracks can get unhealthy long. But I like it. You can compose these zoned out with eyes closed, completely immersed into it.

Here is a little interlude that could be described as more of a jingle really. I was just experimenting with the keyboard functions, as you do. I thought, 'that sound is a bit out of my comfort zone.' I just hope the melody justifies it. But more than that, I hope you enjoy the track.

Alpha Mound is the recording project of Joakim Westlund, who has  released many albums, EPs and collaborations since 2012. His style is focused in the ambient genre and sometimes mixed into more deep going indie-electronica, techno and kraut sounds. The sound design is always a main feature where you can find complex melodies alongside slow drones and spare rhythms.
