Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words is the specter that haunts Thomas Ekelund. But it is a ghost by which Ekelund performs sonic exorcism, unleashing his bleak and twisted vision into the material world. Culling found sounds from his habitat, twisting in inspiration from 60’s girl groups, and molding it together with the last gasps of vinyl noise, Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words gives birth to what one might name concrete drone pop.

While it might not be »musical«, the sound is emotionally charged. From bleak to bleaker, grimy sounds emanate from the sewer, while rays of hope sneak through the broken glass, reflecting on the blood stained shards on the street above.

Ekelund has released music under various guises since 1999, including normal music and dead violets, (with J. Surak) Dead+Hurt and WNQST//LNDGRN (with J. Lindgren), Infini (with J. Gustavsson and J. Lindgren), Winquist/Virtanen (together with R. Abrehamsson) and many many more ranging from pure noise to shoegazing guitar ambient.

STYROFOAM SANCHEZ is a post industrial sound and sculptural installation personifying the trash island in the pacific gyre. Spawning from a hybrid of human DNA and trash, Sanchez is a dystopian amalgamated magnification of failed civilizations, spliced rogue technologies gone awry spawning dark pulses of technological neurosis and inner psychosis . When fish put fin to sand then you'll understand, fish can carry guns. Styrofoam Sanchez represents the last molecule before total conversion of humans into futuristic trash receptacles. Human, your skull will be in a museum. The post apocolyptic outfit presents a high intensity, often interactive onslaught of sonic and visual mayhem, utilizing rogue-manufactured styrofoam instruments , voice, synthesizers, custom microphones, as well as live projections and customized light sources .

Styrofoam Sanchez is represented exclusively through RATSKIN RECORDS, and will be conducting a full United States tour from August 16th-September 16th 2014 in support of a 12'' LP / DVD / book project, titled "Empire Undewater" . Collaborative projects are in the works with the legendary Bastard Noise upon return from the tour, as well as a gallery installation at the MOCO Gallery in Oakland, CA, as well as a European Tour in 2015-16.

A collector since the '90s and club DJ since the early ‘00s, Christine Renée is known for her work as an early resident of the Lot Radio and for shaping the musical identity of Public Records, New York's hi-fi sanctuary as its founding Head Curator. CR's radio shows are a monthly musical memoir. These dreamy-dancey stories sometimes feature interviews with a variety of sound artists, or they may explore the work of an artist journalistically. She is currently a resident at Belgium’s Kiosk Radio, a contributing writer for Dust ‘n’ Grooves, and studies sound as a physical healing modality.

Mark C. Jackman began composing/producing scores for experimental film and dance in 1984 while studying Experimental Electronic Music under Vladimir Ussachevsky (the co-inventor of electronic music/musique concrète, in 1927 with Otto Leuning - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Ussachevsky ) and Music/Art/Aesthetic Philosophy with Paul Banham at the University of Utah.

Jackman relocated to San Francisco in 1988 at which point he began using the project name "skozey fetisch."

The current focus of skozey fetisch is acoustic cacophonies and field recordings presented with minimal, or no manipulation. While per suing this new focus, the project is still actively recording electronic experiments as well.
