As a producer, DJ, and record label owner, Barcelona-based artist Adriana Lopez is widely acclaimed as Colombia’s leading techno figure.

Starting out in Bogota, where she cut her teeth holding down residencies at Club BarC, Cinema and La Sala whilst performing across her native country’s different cities, Adriana Lopez moved to Spain in 2003 where she quickly made a name for herself throughout Europe and beyond.

With years of experience behind her, Lopez’s deep understanding of techno is evident in her high quality and tasteful selections: mixing records with a technical finesse that has led to appearances at the likes of DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Village Underground (London), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Vent (Tokyo), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Mondo Disko (Madrid), Berghain and Tresor (Berlin) and many more.

Meanwhile, as a producer Lopez has released several EPs, singles, and remixes on her own Grey Report as well as other labels such as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup, BPitch and Mistress Recordings, among others.

As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Warm Up. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering.


The Portuguese João Rodrigues started his alias Temudo in 2014, after a period into the Drum and Bass scene. The Drum and Bass influence can be heard not only on the detailed sound design and low end focus of his music, but also on the energetic and eclectic 3 deck sets he has to offer. As a DJ he provides a journey within the several contexts of the Techno universe, blending different years and locations with a natural and clever approach, keeping his own pace.

Over the last years he saw some of his music being widely played, such as “Tough To Say” or “The Beholder” from the EPs “Unnecessary” and “Not The End But a Change”, both released on Soma, or “Jack and Verge” from the collaborative EP with Nørbak “I Will Guide Thy Hand”, released on Modularz. 2021 seems to be a productive year, with the debut on Ben Klock’s Klockworks and Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up with 2 acclaimed EPs.

João describes himself as a nerd for audio processing, composing techniques and solving puzzles in the pursuit of the perfect mix. His background in Jazz, a Degree in Sound and a Master Degree in Music and Technology gave him the tools for the unorthodox experiments he takes in the studio. It is fair to say that Temudo is one the Portuguese Techno main characters.

September’s edition is here and on this episode I am extremely grateful to welcome, Bulgarian artist Ruben Ganev onto the show.

Ruben first caught my attention with his incredible self release on his own Mould Audio imprint. Since he has continued to present his sound in a way that’s unique and outstanding to say the least. 

Based on Sofia, Bulgaria where he also hold his “СКИТНИК” events alongside fellow artists from his scene. Speaking with Ruben tonight we find out more about his musical background and how he structures his workflow in the studio. Plus a little insight into the next release on his label which is a LP from the man himself.

The 20th episode of the Nachtblumen Podcast comes as a celebration of the 4th birthday of the platform which was earlier this month.

Olivier Morssinkhof also known as Morssink is an up and coming Dutch DJ born and based in Tilburg, The Netherlands.Having gone through the entire spectrum of genres gradually while growing up, Olivier was introduced to electronic music a few years ago, which happened to be his final destination. 
As the local techno scene in Tilburg isn’t so developed or big, Olivier was challenged to do a lot of discoveries on his own outside of a club environment. Understanding how a good set is built was one of those things. Tommy Four Seven has been one of his early inspirations, when it came to building a coherent techno experience. 

Nowadays, it is the hypnotic sound that mostly characterizes Morssink’s sets. Heavily influenced by Pole Group, he has managed to find that sweet spot between raw, straightforward and hypnotic sounds. His output is always incredibly consistent, and when you listen to a Morssink set you feel like you are in a proper club environment. 

In his mix for Nachtblumen, he really wanted to deliver a consistent story that demonstrates his skills, taste and love for the hypnotic sound. His appreciation towards my platform motivated him to bring his best techno set to date incorporating a lot of Nordic sounds and inspirations from this year’s Draaimolen experience.

The fact that @kimkenis started DJing is perhaps only a logical consequence. Since her childhood music has always been her escape. She loves all genres. But since she discovered the clubs in 1999, her love for electronic music has only intensified. Being in the scene for over 15 years and after years of research and collecting, she has an extensive collection of music in all styles. With her predisposition to always want to share everything, it's strange she didn't think about starting spinning much sooner. Kim likes to do long, mostly horizontal sets. Here she proposes an hour voyage between dancing and spacing out. With her broad taste she will go from organic and groovy to sterile and minimalistic, one thing is for sure, it will be deep!

His musical journey started in 2015 and after a few years of exploring the styles of Techno it ultimately lead him to a deep and hypnotic sound where he finds most comfort and interest. 

In 2021 his debut as a producer started off with releases on respected labels. We highlight the "Logical Universe" released a weeks ago on Hayes Collective and "Izar" EP released on Anaoh.

Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his
distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.
Over the years his sonic palette grew and now reaches from soothing ambient and downtempo to dark and dissociative contemporary techno.

In 2017 Kontinum co-founded the collective Nebula and, after organising their first raves, the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.

In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical affairs, Kontinum continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his releases on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless and Agos.

Medulla Oblongata is a discreet Dj who blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. His techno sets are an invitation to an immersive journey where dancers can forget themselves. We could see him working lately with the Château Perché Festival as an artist and AD and in renowned clubs of France such
as KALT (Strasbourg, Fr) or Ostra Club (Nancy, Fr) alongside Dasha Rush, Vril, Terrence Fixmer, Adiel, Denise Rabe, Justine Perry and more.

With other weirdos he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative events.

He recently curated a charity V/A with artists from the ambient, downtempo and techno scene, with all proceeds going to help Palestinian civilian victims (freepalestineva.bandcamp.com). Finally his first EPs were released recently, the first one (ambient EP) on Khoros sublabel Chronos and the second (Techno EP) on Sephora Recordings.

It’s time, once again, to get into the MOOD. Our driver for the label’s latest shady soiree is the boss herself: Nicole Moudaber.

Currently cruising on the trip of her life (literally – she’s just passed her race driver test), Nicole is wrapping up 2015 at unfathomable speeds right now. Fresh from her legendary ‘Breed’ collaborations with Skin and remixing Pan Pot, Scuba and recently Black Asteroid all within the last three months, Nicole unleashes her first solo triple-tracker in a long time…

‘Silent Sigh’ commences the adventure with an unhurried build as each bar sees a new space age texture wrapping around her stoic kicks. Gradually the elements disappear until all you can see, feel and hear is black. Stark designs twist through the ether from left to right then boom: an even darker, sub-laden kick pressure ignites from nowhere. Trust us, this will do more than make your dancefloor sigh…

We proceed with intimacy as Nicole persuades us to ‘Move A Little Closer’. The beats underpin her whispers and do well to magnetise, but it’s the gradual ice blast pads that really allure. Building and building with ageless progression, the big pay-off comes with one of the most delicious, almost cosmic, breakdowns Nicole has ever crafted.

MOOD now fully established, ‘Own’ has the honour of closing the show. Relentless kicks and a scratchy snare paint the backdrop for bold splashes of colour as eastern vocals ghost through the spectrum weaving mystically around Nicole’s signature insistent percussive dynamics, escalating into shamanic oblivion.
