Following the brilliant album 'A Trip To Idyllwild', from electronic music producer and saxophonist, ITAI, on Camel Riders, We are thrilled to present the remix album.
On his debut album on our imprint, ITAI displayed eight tracks of hypnotizing jazzy electronic beats, Saxophone, and other live instruments, full of intriguing and mysterious melodies. On this occasion, we are thrilled to provide new reworked versions of the album's tracks by some of our favourite artists and promising talents in the electronic landscape: PheuZen, Just Emma and Urem, Zuma Dionys, Matija and RIchard Elcox, Max Tenrom, Dandara, Alvaro Suarez, Catori and Noraj Cue.

This musical tale consists of nine fascinating interpretations that some might say is more dance-floor oriented, ranging from Downtempo, and Electronica to upbeat Melodic Deep House and Techno. We hope you enjoy the re-diving to this ride, this trip, A Trip to Idyllwild.

Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

As sight came into both my eyes, a warm feeling filled me — like drinking hot tea on a cold day. I felt strength come into my arms and hands and legs and feet and my neck and head stretched for the first time. All the loud yells I had wanted to make now came rushing out of my mouth and I gave a huge roar that made the magistrate fall over. “It has come alive!” I heard him gasp and I heard the servants screaming, “Dragon! It has come alive! Dragon!” I knew this was my chance to free myself from Magistrate Tiger. I jumped from where I was and rushed over everyone, knocking down desks and chairs and columns. I saw the blue sky and green leaves through a window, went toward it, and simply crashed through the wall to get through. As I left, the building was falling down and all the people were yelling. “Dragon!” they screamed. “Dragon!”. I knew I had to leave as soon as possible, so I ran as fast as I could into the forest and left them far, far away. I have lived in the forest since then. Krestovsky opens the rhapsodies of lonely hearts. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These tracks can take you to heaven. drS (FI), Noah Jaegson and Sinai (IT) are chasing rainbows after the rain.

A regular across the clubs of his homeland, Bahrein in Buenos Aires, Dorian Gray in Córdoba and Mendoza in Tucuman, Berni is no stranger to spellbinding sonic journeys behind the decks as well as magical production work in the studio.

Now making his Proportion debut, “Echoes of Lotus” is stunningly arranged into an “Intro Mix” that gently gathers pace after a stunning beatless opening that showcases an array of rippling arp, cadenced pluck and sweeping pad textures. A heavy beat enters the fray at the 2-minute mark, heralding a strong rhythmic framework for the free-flowing melodic textures that sit atop as hi-hats and shakers create subtle dancefloor intensity. Waxing and waning with ease, the track is a prescient reminder of Berni’s impressive talent.

Partner track, “Obsidian Bloom” opens with more traditional club-friendly characteristics as a four-to-the-floor kick creates a sturdy backdrop for ticking hi-hats and syncopated bassline to form a dark and dynamic foundation. A swirling lead adds sonic intrigue as it rises and falls with filtered intensity, sharing its space with a huge sweeping pad and white-noise effects. A stripped-back breakdown provides a moment for reflection as the third movement erupts via a filtered snare-roll, before dropping back into the powerful groove and a new immaculately placed melody that takes the track in an energising new direction in the second half.
