For the 55th episode of our podcast series we're happy to welcome our beloved Polish-based producer, live performer and dj Raroh.

This powerful recording is a live set performed by Raroh at "Art Bei Ton Private 5" on the 27th of November 2021. Spacing between bright and dark atmospheres, carefully sewed together with a melancholic touch, exhibits all the talent of this skillful producer.

Raroh is an electronic music producer, DJ and live performer born and raised in Warsaw.

His music oscillates between ambient, hypnotic, misty and intense sides of techno. His main musical goal is to tell an engaging story in which the listener can completely immerse and get lost.
Raroh talks about things that happened, in different places and at different times, creating new constellations and combining them into one, coherent musical story.

He played his live shows sharing the stage with musicians like Blazej Malinowski, Milena Glowacka, Birds Ov Paradise and Retina.It at Up To Date Festival 2020 or Vril during Slovenian Mladifest 2019. He released several vinyl and digital EPs, including 12” split with Głós, solo 12” on Unknown Timeline Records and latest digital EP called „Above The Ground” on No Way Records.

This edition of BRCast features an exclusive mix by Internal Observer.

Internal Observer (Poland, EU) produces cooler and mechanical/factory variations of techno served as both digital and vinyl releases, as well as podcasts and live-acts. His releases based on deep hypnotic techno containing ambient and experimental structures appears on labels such as Accents Records (FR), Neural Tapes (FR), SYXT (GE), Modular Mind (NL), DVNTT (BL), Crescent London (UK) and many others.

He is the owner of Unknown Timeline Records focusing on Polish techno producers and co-owner of the Polish-German label Delayed Arrivals Records where artists from all over the world are published. He is the originator and curator of the ZATHRA project, related to the promotion and development of audiovisual works by artists from his hometown of Skierniewice.

This podcast is recorded live - there is no TL.  There is no track list, all elements in this live set were generated spontaneously.

The guest for this episode is the Rotterdam based KOOT.

He would describe his sound as ’the heavier side of hypno’. In his opinion, techno sets are most enjoyable when nuanced: slowly progressing in intensity through repetitive patterns and heavy layering. Requiring some patience from the listener but making the overall experience all the more rewarding! When DJ’ing, he aims to apply those these values to create a sound similar to what he loves to hear when on the dance floor himself.

Excited by Deepicnic’s request for a 1.5h+ podcast, he decided to take the time to create a more dancefloor oriented set than his usual work. Expect to hear darker atmospheres, obscure hypnotics and sci-fi sounds accompanied by a forceful low-end!

Medulla's hybrid ambient sets combine tape samples, droning machine loops and synthesizers. DJ and producer since 2012, he held the position of resident at Kwartz Club for seven years, from 2016 to 2023. During this period, he shared his artistic vision by inviting international artists such as Antigone, Adriana Lopez, Mike Parker, Peter Van Hoesen, Adiel, Stephanie Sykes, Nur Jaber, to name a few.
 

This experience opened doors for the native of the Côte d'Azur, allowing him to perform in numerous clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond. Notable venues include the legendary Parisian barge "La Concrete," Suicide Club in Berlin, Plages Electroniques in Cannes, Zodiak in Brussels, DiscotecaNordest in Vicenza, SpaceMonki in Zurich, and Waxbar in Tunis. 
 

On the production front, Hidden Recordings trusted him from the beginning, releasing several vinyl records with well-established remixers in the electronic scene. His debut, "From Nice To Berlin," produced in Berlin in 2012, was remixed by the highly respected New Yorker, Fred P. In 2018, he also appeared on the Dutch label Dynamic Reflection by the duo Abstract Division, and
in 2020 and 2021, he contributed to two compilations on Coyu's label, Suara Music.

In early 2023, he launched his own label, Cielo Records, with three new releases that mark an innovative point in his production, spanning various musical styles (Downtempo, Deep Techno, Future Groove, and Jungle). These productions have been played by renowned artists such as Richie Hawtin, Rene
Wise, Eric Cloutier, and many others, in the world's top clubs and festivals, from Berghain in Berlin to Amnesia in Ibiza, passing through Bassiani in Tbilisi, Sonus Festival in Croatia, and Glitch Festival in Malta. Please welcome @jclaurentmusic
