It's taken awhile but we finally have a track by one of our favourite artists  on a Subtle Audio release. Just so happened that nearly every Dub One track we were after was unfinished, or lost and even this one was initially intended for release elsewhere which kept it out of our reach... till now ! It's over 5 years since we first heard it, but we're still as 'speechless' now as we were back then !

Alpha Omega's "Know How" was the track that kicked it all off for us in 2005 ! And now, as part of our 'Decade In Breakbeat' celebrations we bring you the remix version ! It's a miracle this remix even happened - all the original parts were lost and we had to find someone willing (and able!) to recreate some of the sounds and patterns to make the remix viable. Luckily we have the very talented (and dedicated) Aroma Nice on our books who even went out and bought a 2nd hand Roland 606 so he could get the drum sounds he needed !! Earl Grey provided some mixdown finesse and a few crafty edits here and there and we couldn't be happier with the end result - an 11 minute epic that starts out leisurely but suddenly descends into an all-out assault ! The breakdown morphs into some atmospheric techno before the breakbeat insanity returns !! Have a listen and hear for yerself ;-)

Mecca has been one of the defining artists of the Subtle Audio sound over the last few years and it wouldn't feel like a celebration of our first decade of beats without having him involved.  He goes for a stripped down approach on the aptly titled "Analysis" - the sudden injection of breakbeat mayhem near the end all the more devastating after the spacious rhythm section that lays the track's foundation.

NCQL's "Breath of the Eve" marries clipped vocals, soaring atmospherics and a driving amen for a track that has become a Subtle Audio anthem since it's digital release back in 2013. After numerous requests we've eventually bowed to the pressure and given it a vinyl press on our the 'Decade In Breakbeat' release.
