This month's show for Electronic Convergence features tracks from German cult label GIEGLING. Loaded with experimental minimal, glitch and all sorts of wonky grooves and organic soundscapes, representing its own very distinct sound. Giegling records are quite rare and fetch considerable prices on Discogs, so are in quite high demand when first released. After that, we are at the mercy of the sharks!

Celebrating 20 superb years since his debut, UK electro producer Emile Facey aka Plant43 is back with his fifth album on Plant43 Recordings. Feeding the Machines draws on his reputation for intricate, emotive electro, which has previously come across labels like CPU, Semantica and Trust, all while blending machine precision with human imperfection. This ten-track set explores electro, techno and drum & bass through layered synth recordings that capture real-time physical movement and create a rich, organic texture. 'Anthropomorphic Algorithms' is not only the best title but also our favourite with its lithe rhythms and plunging bass - that deep sense of space travel and melodic whimsy always makes a mark. Already getting big support from the likes of DJ Stingray and Helena Hauff, Facey's latest is a typically cinematic and introspective journey. Kudos for two decades of excellence.

Pocket Candy’s debut EP Dreamin’ unfolds in a dreamlike landscape, translating the surreal nature of imagined fantasies into sound. Shimmering, ethereal synth lines guide the listener through dub-infused dimensions, while gritty percussion keeps things grounded with textured, dancefloor-ready drumwork. Conceptually, Dreamin’ is a sonic interpretation of hyperphantasia—a condition marked by exceptionally vivid mental imagery. Across five tracks, Pocket Candy brings both lucid and non-lucid dreams to life, crafting a tangible world of sound. The EP features three lush, synth-driven tech house originals, each capturing a distinct figment of the imagination, alongside two remixes by Braver and A.Dixen.

As the debut release from Pocket Candy (aka HAKEEM), Dreamin’ reflects his evolution as a producer shaped by his experience as a DJ. The EP blends melodic and textural depth with functional groove, drawing influence from dub, ‘80s synth pop, ‘90s tech-house, and the contemporary sonic territory explored by labels like Ilian Tape and Wisdom Teeth, or artists such as Silverlining, L.B. Dub Corp, Dario Zenker, K-Lone, and HLLW.

The EP’s single “Rain Dance” is reimagined through two remixes by long-standing staples of the Copenhagen scene:

Braver’s remix delivers a tight, groove-driven rework. Lush key stabs, dubby atmospheres, and intricate percussion fuel a steady momentum, blurring the lines between tech house and dub techno with contemporary flair sure to get any dancefloor going.

A.Dixen’s version takes a more introspective approach, conjuring a submerged, dub-soaked world. Synths drift like currents around vocal stabs and a weightless, rolling bassline—coming together in a track that feels like it could loop forever.

Rebecca Goldberg is a Detroit-based DJ, producer and multimedia artist known for her raw and innovative approach to electronic music. 

She crafts techno, electro, and acid tracks that blend classic machine rhythms with experimental sound design and field recordings. Her work has been featured internationally, including performances in Paris, Detroit, and the UK, where she also completed an artist residency. 

Beyond the dance floor, Rebecca explores sound through interdisciplinary projects that merge technology, film, and visual art. With deep roots in Detroit’s musical legacy, she continues to push boundaries while honoring the city’s rich electronic tradition.

Moody McIvor is a Darkwave/Synthwave act fronted by Christopher McIvor from the Gold Coast, Australia, with production support from Felipe Bortoloti (Nørus), originally from Brazil and now based in Portugal.

Formed in 2021, the project blends ethereal soundscapes with pulsating rhythms, weaving together electronic textures and organic depth for a sound that is both intimate and expansive.

The debut release on McIvor’s new sublabel Ronnie’s Records, Shadow Frequencies, is a deeply personal body of work developed over four years and dedicated to the memory of close friend Benaiah Fiu. Each track channels love, loss, and memory through haunting melodies, evocative vocals, and emotionally rich atmospheres.

Valdagger (Rugilė Valančiūtė) is a Lithuanian DJ and vinyl enthusiast known for her high-energy sets blending techno and trance sounds from the early ’90s to the late 2000s. Hailing from a small town in Lithuania, she has been an active figure in the electronic music scene since 2018.

Valdagger launched her career in two of Lithuania's most influential clubs—Lizdas and Kablys—and is currently a resident at Club Elastica, as well as a member of the Halal Club collective, which operates between Berlin and Tallinn. Her musical journey has taken her across Europe, with performances in Germany, Poland, Denmark, England, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Latvia.

Outside the club and festival circuit, Valdagger curates the diggers&daggers show on Radio Vilnius. A devoted advocate of vinyl culture, she has recently shifted more toward playing physical formats, backed by her hands-on experience in vinyl record production.

Three superbly crafted techno tools from Nihad Tule, with plenty of energy and impeccable attention to detail. Resurface offers trippy chords and ever changing patterns on top of a driving beat. On the flip, Passing is built on a deceivingly simple hook, sparkled with drones over a pounding 909. Ascend brings it all home with a gradually evolving hook, stripped down to the bare bones yet still offering a powerful crescendo.
