Hocus Pocus debut of the artist known as Jinx... One third of the mighty Lionfire crew, (Dread Recordings) hailing from the midlands city of Birmingham UK. Jinx sound could best be described as real low-end rolling jungle, blended with soul reggae & hip hop which serve to sculpt the formula of his tracks! This release embraces those influences to the fullest, as Jinx lays down his trademark vibe with tracks that will do the business inside any dance across the planet!

A – Playback

‘Playback’ is a real sneak attack on the senses. Building with hip hop stabs & vox’s you will be hypnotised by the step out nature of the intro as it breaks down in to the vox commanding you to “check this out man”. Then out of nowhere deep rolling bass drags you full throttle into the track! Deep booming subs then combine with the rolling bass to keep your senses & internal organs resonating at full throttle whilst the track steps out in a big way! Most definitely a riddim to let the listeners know what time it is! Big!

AA – Musical Talking feat K jah

If ‘Playback’ can be described as a “sneak attack”...then ‘Musical Talking’ is more of a creeping roller that you wont be able to get enough of after the first time you give it a listen. Building in a very unassuming way ‘Musical Talking’ (which features another Hocus Pocus artist K Jah) injects pure dub vibes into the riddim as the intro pulsates along. Further to this, a knocking bass sound hooks you in & doesn't let go, before the tunes breaks down to the drop! At this point you are transported via a disgustingly deep & menacing reece bass which complements the knocking bass like an audio marriage made in heaven to roll out like a real champion bubbler. RRRRRRRRRolling to say the absolute very least. A real dance floor roller in the truest sense of the word. Sick!

“She says the Jungle!!” from the drop of the needle on the record, or to the play button being pressed on a CDJ... this track lets you know what’s up from the very first second! The classic vox which ushers the track in sets the tone, as this one laden with samples from a classic action jungle flick builds with ferocious intent. An eerie pad & string then accompany the beats & vox as the dynamic of the track begins to increase & lead towards the crescendo! Upon the drop... an absolutely cantankerous bass cannon is let off transporting any listener in to the heart of the Amazon... skanking like as if their very life depended on it. A true jungle rinser! ‘Old Painless’ is most definitely one for any DJ to “pull out tha bag” ;)

Hailing from Bristol at 18 years old Arlo has already built up a strong following playing free parties and raves across the country showcasing his unique and fresh take on jungle. We expect big things from this talented producer. His 3 track EP features a collab with another new face and now resident to the label, Gold Dubs.

South Yard proudly introduces highly prolific producer and certified badman like one Mr Conrad Subs, bringing us back to the happier Junglist 90's era at the same time as he curates the nastiest sound to the industry standars of nowadays with a his debut E.P entitled "Robust Funk".

The adventure begins with "Robust Funk" a Pure Junglist Lickshoot with pads, vocals and a minimalist and well sorted Amen & Bass edit that put us back to the clasical jungle style back in the early 90's. 

To follow we have "Pull Up & Playback" , Rolling drums on a wobbling Bristol-style Bassline with a Dancehall flex delivered by the dj style vocal. 
Last but not least like the title announces "This One Massive" . 
Now if u like the words different, 808 , Broken Beats and you flash a trigga finga more than often, this tune is for you!
