The boss is back home! And as you'd expect from Hernan, its jam packed full of goodness. This collection of gems are all new versions of tracks that were used and made for Hernan's Balance CD, all freshly updated for you lovely Sudbeat fans.

So lets get to it, and we kick of with James Teej superb rework of 'Into The Edge' from Hernan & Soundexile. James has recently been in the studio with Timo Mass to remix Paul McCartney. We'll let that sink in a minute while you realise how big a deal that is...! James remix has Big bass, emotive chords and tinkling melodies that combine beautifully here creating rather large rework of epic proportions, with a tad of melancholy thrown in for good measure.

Rising start Khen takes controls next, and with his recent works on Plattenbank, microCastle and Lost & Found, its no wonder this likeable chap is causing a bit of a fuss. This intense melodic gem subtly grabs your attention along its mesmerising voyage before its devastatingly cool key changes raise the temperature even hotter on this damn fine remix.

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Lunar (Simon Vuarambon Interpretation) is our next port of call. Simon is a Sudbeat favourite and makes a welcome return working his magic on Lunar. This rework is a sophisticated del journey that undulates and teases, with alight eastern vibe, this musical workout is a lesson in restraint in the studio.

And another Sudbeat favourite, Mike Griego remixes Hernan Cattaneo & Guy Mantzur - Imaginarium, and takes this in to a hypnotic territory, that locks you in to its magical spell, encapsulating your mind, while its tension builds and the track develops beautifully. A solid dance floor workout rounds of this package superbly.

We are overjoyed to announce the next candidate for our label-catalogue after Kerri Chandlers "The Watergate Files" EP. New Watergate resident Matthias Meyer was recently added to our booking agency - his debut on Watergate Records is called "Becuz" and hereby it immediately answers every potential question.

The eponymous Track has the atmospheric density of an approaching storm front that discharges into epic organ- hooks and shredded vocals. Appropriate to that the B-side begins with "November Rain", a beat-driven techno- anthem with foggy synth-spheres and "closed eyes"-attitude. Mario Basanovs a.k.a. Ten Walls' interpretation has more contours and a percussive touch that keeps the mood of the original unchanged: November rain in a tropical rainforest. An astonishing EP with two great tracks and a wonderful remix. "Becuz" EP will be released on May 12th on vinyl and digital.

Alex Niggemann’s AEON label mirrors the peak time DJs sets that the supremely talented Berliner plays, staying focused on conjuring up the spirit of classic and timeless house and techno, updating it and creating new boundless possibilities for the future. Since launch- ing the label in 2013 Alex has been gradually building a family of like-minded creative individuals to keep the AEON ethos moving ever forward.
As with AEON 18 however, Alex Niggemann steps up with another landmark voyage into the realms of me- lodic, deep techno, delivering two tracks with a sound that defines a very popular and relevant style. Divergent is a stirring track with stabbing synths and a breakbeat drum pattern, punctuated by an evocative drop around half way through the track. As is customary on Alex Niggemann AEON releases, the B-Side, Luminance, takes things into deeper territory, with a rolling bassline and a deep percussive groove.
Another fantastic release from the all conquering label, and a one in particular that has been played throughout the whole summer in almost every set by Tale Of Us (including at Circoloco), Mind Against (e.g. in their Boiler Room set) and Scuba.
AEON is a home to cutting-edge artists who are bold enough to breathe life into their productions with true emotion. AEON stands for people who walk their own path, who dance just the way they feel, celebrating and being passionate about what they do without following hype, or rules, or trends.

Partial Press Release: The 41st release on microCastle welcomes Khen to the label for his debut EP. The young Israeli artist has been touted as one of his country's foremost electronic music talents. Undoubtedly a future global star, the long-time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Guy Mantzur has risen to his greatest heights in 2015, with a recent release on Lost & Found Records, preceded by similarly excellent material for Sudbeat Music and Parquet Recordings. Now closing the year out on a high note, Khen makes his long awaited debut on microCastle with the 'Pollen Spreader' EP, alongside a remix from the always excellent Luca Bacchetti.

The EPs third selection and also its title cut 'Pollen Spreader' finds Khen exploring the more subversive, electronica realm of his studio repertoire. The classically styled analog production flows through a myriad of indistinct motifs and subtle musical themes, eventually converging for several poignant moments. For Khen it was a track constructed to begin a long set with, as he describes "The first thing that went through my mind with 'Pollen Spreader' was that it was set out to be a track to start a long main set with. I focused on 808 samples for a steady groove combined with Hammond chords, Rhodes and analogue synthesizers resulting in a timeless feel."

The lone interpretation of 'Pollen Spreader' is provided by Luca Bacchetti who is making his first appearance on microCastle. The Italian artist and Endless label boss now calls Barcelona, Spain home. His diverse musical tastes have shaped his storied career, and filled his discography with immaculate creations on All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, Ovum Recordings and his own Endless imprint. Luca carries inspiration from art, architecture and his world travels, all of which contribute to his ever evolving, border-less approach to production. His elegant craftsmanship has been touching the hearts and minds of electronic music lovers for years and he's turned in a splendid rendition of 'Pollen Spreader' here. While retaining the tough, analog appeal of the original Luca has created his own unforgettable designs, which come to life following a stylized first act of jangly hooks. After stripping down, the piece flows through a tension filled section of dynamic beats and new found vocal elements, before the poignant theme is unleashed for a heavenly finale. As Luca says " When I do a remix I need to get inspired and I need to find the right elements to develop my own vision, it’s a state of mind, a place which I can’t explain beyond a certain point otherwise I empty it of its content and meaning… With these 9 minutes, I hope to bring you there! " A perfect ending to the release from Luca which is sure to be one of his most sought after remixes this year. Enjoy!

I needed to take a break and get back to writing these instrumental pieces where the riffs ARE the vocal lines, and the vibe was a sort of hypnotic mysticism mixed with late night mind bending chasers. ‘Into The Deep’ is a celebration of forward thinking progressive house music - a dash of eccentric and brash synth melodies juxtaposed with bright uppity grand piano chords and warped out arpeggiations.  This is a cohesive body of music here and I wrote this all from around August of 2015 until October (around 3 months).  The first single EP from this album is called ‘Into The Deep’ and it has a very rich sound to it especially in the baseline.  I used a custom series 80 Neve console to get that wide character and the whole piece just really glued together with my mixing approach on this one.  I love the synths in the midsection and the texture to those sounds.  Perfect for late night dark room mash out venues.  On the B Side is ‘Bumblebee’ and that one is a Space Ibiza terrace early night kind of vibe - big room sound, tight percussion and groove, and huge analog synth swells.  I hope you enjoyed this EP as much as I did writing it and if you can give your feedback that helps me very much!

Earlier in the year the Joy Wellboy released their second album and 'Wedding' is another fine example of the wonderfully poppy, instrument-led music that they conjure up.

One of the tracks from the album is called 'The Magic' and it's received a top notch remix package with edits from Phono, Fred P and Maceo Plex  & Shall Ocin. We've got a premiere of the latter's remix and it's arguably the best of the bunch.
