Sudbeat #266 brings back the 'Don' himself alongside his fellow producer and illustrious guitarist Mercurio, a duo that knows how to deliver the goods.

El Maestro needs little introduction, a staple of South American dance music for over three decades, Hernàn is a firm favourite worldwide and a renowned ambassador for progressive house itself. Mercurio is a lifelong fan of music as well as a guitar master, an electronic live act and a producer with releases on several high profile labels including Balance, Cercle and more .

Opening with the joyous 'Altered Reality', sparse percussions and insistent arps drive the track from the off. Wild FX and sweeps keep the ear candy sweet while the analog-y synths weave a narcotic tale. In the final section, a wonky plucked lead adds even more energy.

On the flip, 'Cliff to Nowhere' keeps that peak time vibe going. Sparsely percussive, the synths again lead the way, building layers upon layers. Just as a Hernàn set sucks you into the groove vortex, the masterful melodics are dreamy and hip shaking with bags of personality.
