Absys Records presents their newest 12" vinyl single filled with finest quality drum & bass music. Deep and atmospheric as the label had proven before, still make us move our feet and our mind in the tempo we all admire. Anile's "View Catcher" starts neatly, letting the listeners feel comfortable in their shoes walking aroundmodern urban jungle. Overall lightness of this 6 minutes piece envisions things levite before the eyes of the audience, at the same time keeping us near the ground with groovy bassline and well programmed drums. On the flipside, we recieve Naibu's take on Lm1 and Kharm track "Inversion", released originally in 2008 on Levitated Recordings. Lush atmospheric pads dominate sublime breakdown securing it as evident highlight, and the upbeat drum work and fierce bassline are Naibu's trademark, making the remix sound perfectly well along this year's top picks of the genre.

Receiving its debut airplay on Annie Mac's Friday night Radio One show, Fred V & Grafix count Subfocus, Netsky, Mistajam and B Traits as fans. 

Young gun Emperor applies his twisted neurofunk genius to the remix for this package, choosing to frontload the song and harmonic structure before descending with a Spartan bassline workout and rugged tick-tock drums which will have every 21st century junglist grinning from ear to ear. 

Fellow South-Western young guns "Panda" drop the tempo and flip the genre with their own sublime take on the original to round off the package.

Over the 12 years since it’s inception, SUNANDBASS has become a name synonymous with one of the most important happenings in the Drum and Bass scene, and a stamp of quality.

Always with a keen ear for what’s hot, they were privy to some of the best new music being made, and with this in mind they decided it was time to bring back their own label, SUNANDBASS Recordings.

Their first outing is the ‘One More Week’ EP, featuring two tracks from two well- versed and experienced producers, FD and ArpXP.

Known for their work with SUNANDBASS and also Soul:r and Metalheadz to name a few, the two bring yet another four slabs of quality composed music to this release. ‘Ambra’ and ‘Since That Afternoon’ have you dancing under the stars on the island, whilst ‘On Your Skin’ and ‘Give It All’ come with a little more pressure, a reminder of when things get hot and heavy!

Bryan Gee has been involved in music since his youth, starting off as a reggae soundsystem selector and pirate radio DJ. After already starting a prolific DJ career, he and long time friend Jumping Jack Frost started the infamous V Recordings in around 1993. 

V Recordings soon became one of the most important labels in Drum & Bass, releasing some of the first tunes from new artists like Roni Size, Dillinja, Die & Krust and many others.

He was also responsible for one of the most important weekly nights in London in the late 90’s and early 2000’s called Movement. Known as a home of brand new, quality music, this was the place to go to check out what was fresh.

This just serves to highlight what a love and ear Bryan Gee has for Drum & Bass – and this is still the case today, highlighted in his new mix for the SUNANDBASS Podcast!

Under their Alibi moniker, the guys started to make big waves last year.
