With an album as versatile and expansive as his LP Fusion, Len Faki wanted a collection of remixes to display a similar kind of musical variety. Hand-picked from his favorite producers, the cast now features a diverse group of artists who have re-imagined 20 of Fusion’s tracks, set to arrive on two double and one single 12“ EP. 

FigureX39 kicks off the trilogy, with our very own Arthur Robert at the helm, fittingly remaking the album’s pensive closer into a melodic peak time stomper. Ø [Phase] ramps up the intensity on straight-laced Temple, keeping the BPM in line with modern techno’s need for speed. 
On the flip, rRoxymore inverts Tor 8 into a psychedelic funnel of haunted voices and pummeling percussion, while dubby synth swirls and ferocious filter action give Pangea’s rework of Space Cowboys I a distinctly UK-feel. 

Coming in as hard-hitting as ever, PAS layers high-octane rave stabs and nonstop propulsive drums on his version of Yantra, and one of the album’s few original house tracks, It’s Time … gets the Truncate treatment, making for lean, clap-heavy groover with enough low-end to move some bodies. Deep, trippy and hypnotic. That pretty much sums up the new Nacreous-EP by Shoal on the Dutch imprint NOWHERE. The title refers to a certain glow or color that mother-of-pearl radiates. Shoal is the alter ego of Utrecht-resident Kenny Dean Kneefel. When you have a name that sounds like a famous stuntman, you are probably prepared to take more risks.

And indeed that's exactly what this producer from the lowlands does on Nacreous. Shoal's four track EP combines hallucinant grooves with delicate sound design. Like on Bygone Drums, where ominous distant sounds from a nearby factory creep between the shadows. The same can be said of the title track, a tribalistic tune with a delicate dark undertone.

Never Endings is more uplifting, with its dubbed out basslines and crispy hi-hats. Dubtechno that reminds us of both Monolake and Fluxion. Closing track Morning Float is indeed that, a trip in a blue tank filled with warm water, where you are comforted by beautiful strings and sounds of nature.

Alderaan returns to his own imprint with a second EP called Genesis. This time with four cuts that range from drone & deep techno to more energetic tracks.
