満を持して放つ3rdアルバムは、バンド史上初めて全曲を「SF」に捧げた魂の傑作！
気鋭の漫画家・西島大介が手掛けるアートワークにも注目！

音楽はSFだ！　フリージャズ音楽家／バリトンサックス奏者・吉田隆一率いるblacksheepの3rdアルバム『∞ -メビウス-』は、全曲を「SF」に捧げた渾身の一枚。吉田のSF原体験である作家A・E・ヴァン・ヴォクトの代表作に捧げられたM1は、シンプルでキャッチーなコンポジションが即興演奏によって徐々に膨らみクライマックスへ上り詰めていく、オープニングにふさわしい一曲。伊藤計劃の遺稿を円城塔が書き継いだ同名小説がモチーフのM2は、小説中に用いられたサンプリング的手法を楽曲構造にも取り入れ、クラシックや映画音楽などから様々なフレーズが目まぐるしく引用されるカオスな世界が展開。一転して、M3は現代音楽的で静謐な空気に包まれる、映画『惑星ソラリス』挿入音楽のカバー。レイ・ブラッドベリに捧げられたM4は、ある種ミニマルミュージック的なテーマの反復にフリージャズ的な熱い即興が交錯する。M5～7はJ・G・バラードの長・短篇3作を主題にした組曲で、バラードが描いたシュルレアリスティックで幻視的な世界を音楽で表現。映画『ブレードランナー』（原作はフィリップ・K・ディック『アンドロイドは電気羊の夢を見るか？』）のテーマのカバーM8は、あの印象的なメロディの上で吉田のサックスが狂ったように、しかしイマジネーション豊かに咆哮する。ラストを飾るのは、漫画家・西島大介が2ndアルバム『②』のジャケット用に描き下ろしたキャラクター“羊子ちゃん”に捧げた、優しくメランコリックなM9。なお、西島は今回はジャケットイラストのみならずアルバム全体のアートディレクションを担当。帯には日本が誇るSF作家・神林長平が推薦文を寄せ、全8ページ（予定）のブックレットには吉田自身によるSF愛あふれる解説を収録！
