Lui Mafuta - Six White Horses (Original Mix)

While paradise-colored birds chirp from the trees and the moss-green lianas rustle to the beat of the wind, our boat glides gently down on the waves of the river. The symphony of the jungle enchants us with its very own harmony, chaotic and yet perfectly in tune.

Suddenly a pair of shining eyes piles up in the shallows of the water, followed by a monumental mouth full of crooked, grinning teeth. Amazed and curious, we recognize the silhouette of a hippopotamus that, with wobbling ears, tells us to follow its path.

Fascinated by the wild power of nature, we lag behind our new friend, while we hear a soothing sound from the distance, accompanied by a tremendous shaking of the earth.

As we slowly get closer to the scenery, we can hardly believe our eyes: an entire horde of hippos wiggles their hips up and down to the mesmerizing sound of a trumpet. Moved by this sight, we thank our friend and let ourselves carry away by the music.

The story above describes quite well the feelings we had in mind, while we first listened to the two tracks of the sympathetic swiss duo okuma. It was clear to us, that an EP had to be the result of this experience.

Moon’s Voyager, JPattersson, Kermesse and Kusht complement this tale with their beautiful interpretations. We want to thank all artists involved in this great release as well as Kilian Van de Water for the refreshing artwork and Haunted Water for the smooth mastering.

When we first heard the tracks by Niju and Malü, our thoughts wandered straight to the beautiful time of the festival season. With their light-footedness and the still pressing bass, they are perfect for making the crowd shake at sunrise in the forest on a Monday morning.

To round off the matter properly, our musical heroes from the very beginning Ninze and Kleintierschaukel with Chrischou contributed a crisp remix.

Having made a name for himself with a constant output of unique releases, Ber- nese artist Geplantes Nichtstun debuts on Heimlich with his „Illusion of Knowled- ge“ EP. Like a lonesome rider in the desert, the opening track „Schub“ combines dusty guitar sounds and detuned arpeggios, with subtle vocal snippets and orga- nic percussions adding a touch of saloon atmosphere. „Spagat“ is an aptly titled balancing act between playful lead sounds and wind players adding an extra layer to the arrangement. Led by the extraordinary vocals of Christine, building upon a foundation of powerful but clear drum sounds and a predominant bass- line „Remember Me“ is an energetic banger. Berlin-based Santi & Tugce trans- form „Schub“ into an emotional hymn by adding drum recordings as well as an arpeggio line as the center of attention, putting the original‘s guitar samples to creative use. “Chasing Rabbits” on Keller is Oilst & Ben Jarli's debut EP. They have developed an eclectic style of downtempo, blending inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres. The three original tracks featured on this EP share a distinctive analogue sound design, and a dark, yet warm timbre.

The EP also includes two remixes of the title track. The first is an epic contribution from the up-and-coming live act O/Y, where the original’s signature acid bassline evolves into immersive ambient soundscapes. The second is a serotonin fuelled festival anthem by Molto, a promising offspring of the Keller stable.
