Campout was one of the best experiences of my Black-ass life to date. all love. thank you, @honchopgh! this set is dedicated to my Black and Brown queer community, coming out in the late 90's and early 00's, and my friend Carly Febrey (RIP, my love) who told me "pussy tastes like chicken" when I was 16.

For this week's show, we gave the reins to Koori Radio mainstay DJ Naian in the lead up to Invasion Day.

Hailing from Northern NSW, DJ Naian moved to Sydney to study dance at NAISDA Dance College and has broadcast on Koori Radio on and off for 20 years. DJ Naian got his DJ practice in on hours upon hours of live broadcasts. 

DJ Naian most recently performed at Heaps Gay's Roadwerk street festival, but has played at Edge Greenway, Big Dance Sydney, MCA Art Bar, Vivid Sydney, Love Wins Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-op, Liquorice All Sorts Mardi Gras, and countless Koori Radio outside broadcasts.

I’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety (as I’m sure many are) with the uncertainty of whats to come. I’m learning to accept that it’s ok to not feel ok and that with time things will change but they will also eventually get better. 

I needed an outlet this week to release some of that tension and the best way I know how to express myself is through music. So with that, I want to share with you all my TEXTURES mix. All of the sounds selected in this music have an element of layered sounds and audio textures that I find aurally therapeutic. It also incorporates my love for house music and in general anything sexy, soulful and dancey.
