Rushing us headlong into a vorticist maelstrom of hard-edged drum stutter and polychromatic synth fragmentation, Sansibar sophomore long-player for Kalahari Oyster Cult - “Sans Musique” - tackles the very essence of post-trancey, breaks-loaded UK blends with unabashed joy to wreak havoc on his path. Throughout seven tracks oozing burnt kerosene and depleted uranium residue merged with a hint of sacred incense, Sansibar deploys his extra-wide vision for the present and future of dance music.

“Scully” attacks pedal to the metal, hi-intensity bass onslaughts and knee-buckling breaks roaring as the groove slings us at bullet-speed into a hot, narrow barrel of floor-focused aggression. 

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Sansibar is a non-pareil cosmic traveller - also producer, resident DJ at Kaiku and Post Bar and wave agitator on IDA Radio and EOS Radio - whose genre-unbound sound credentials for the likes of Kalahari Oyster Cult, Natural Sciences, Émotsiya, Darknet, Avoidance et al. have helped establish as one of today’s most intriguing talents in the European scene.

Following a debut EP release on Brazilian record label Yellow Island Records and a hypno-house debut album on colourful L.A imprint 100% Silk, California producer Etari readies four air-fresh cuts of club melodia designed for those deep moments in the dance on Running Out Of Steam.

Aesthetics of both artist and label are a heaven-made match; favouring melodic grooves and broken-beats that trigger blissed-out experiences both spiritual and physical. ‘Chemistry’ makes use of broken Baltimore rhythms and blends them with warped, supernatural vocals, feeding into both worlds of melancholy and paradise. 

‘Cinnamon Spice’ maintains the tempo with a fairy-light cut of footwork-electro – a sequence that begs to be lost in, angelic strobes of light beaming onto a looping trip cinematic sound – before the lo-fi house rhythms of ‘Lavender Luv’ cast our minds back to a simpler time when the sun was setting and the sand was still warm between our toes. 

‘Sweet Pea’ completes the release with a wubby piece of blissful Balearic; no sudden movements, swaying in the turquoise vibe as teardrops roll into the ocean.

„Finest Gear“? Hell yeah! This track is for all of those, who are grinding Diablo 4 hardcore at the moment and need an additional motivation boost. Stomping techno, Psytrance and Goa elements are the vital items for this build, which is 100% suitable for endgame.
 „Freedom is A Choice“ should pull every UK hardcore lover’s grin up to their temples. Oldschool breakbeats straight outta the warehouse, dusty and and dry as a bone, refined with a Prodigy melody, that Liam Howlett could not have composed any better. Absolutely massive track here!
We stay in the Oldschool. „LXTC“ pays homage to genre defining artist of the 80s and 90s. Whoever’s got shivers running down their spine whilst thinking of Drexciya, Egyptian Lover or Cybonix - you came to the right place. A masterfully crafted piece of Electro.
As it befits, everything is getting „Out Of Control“ at the end. RNBWS’s definition of Ghetto Tech hands it on a plate and leaves us hungry for what we can expect from him in the future. This might be his strongest EP until to date.

Thick white snow pelted down from above; the path in front of them was barely visible now the sun had set. It was a long walk back through the forest and the group had grown tired after fighting through the wind and the hail. Winter had arrived and it wasn't taking any prisoners. As they reached the depths of the forest they soon realised the snow had covered their tracks; their Hansel and Gretel breadcrumbs were no more. How would they find their way back to base? They would have to take a punt and follow their gut instead...

Following his euphoric debut release on Feel My Bicep, James Shinra brings his skilled productions to one of Scotland's best exporters of electro, Craigie Knowes. Over the last few years Mitch and Max, the guys behind the label, have released heavy hitters from some of the finest artists operating in that sphere, like Carl Finlow, Jensen Interceptor, Maelstrom and Textasy. James Shinra adds to that healthy discography with some acid driven cuts that have a "sinister, wintery feel"...

Expert in trippy joints and knee-buckling bounce, OZ-based producer @reptant_the_lizard is back with a vengeance after an array of choice outings on the likes of Salt Mines, Planet Euphorique and Craigie Knowes. No warm-up lap needed, 'Phasic Reflex' may start as a tycho-esque daydream, what's bred in the bone comes out in the flesh. A pure adrenaline rush of vogue-ing 303, hi-voltage electro and intricate drum programming, this one has dancefloor ripper written all over it.

Keeping the tension up to hazardous levels, 'MS Plenty' zones out to a Detroit-style elixir of arpeggiated seesaws and pong-indebted, body-jacking pep. As its title suggests - or not, the B-side opener 'A Realist's Realistic Reality' clearly lies closer to a cyphered Dick-ian parallel world full of binary bleepin' and swirlin', post-kosmische infused riffs and tentacular Arpanet-style modularity, which @roza-terenzi alters into a lo-pressure dub expedition - better tasted at sunrise, feet buried deep in the sand and your hazy mind draped in the cosy folds of a cheerful seaside sloth with friends.
