We are thrilled to bring you the third chapter of THE GOLDEN RA VEDA YS saga, released in March 2017. Number 3 of the series introduces two further tracks of the haunting sound adventure that SUPERPITCHER is taking his fans on during 2017. Side A features 1984. It has nothing to do with George Orwell’s magnificent book but it could remind some of how the apocalypse might sound one day. 1984 is as sweet as the very first track, Little Raver, of "The Golden Ravedays" album, but it stresses the fact that even though Superpitcher produces music mainly intended for the dance floor, he creates sound that is bordering on the shamanic. 1984 might as well be the meeting of a group of supersonic bottlenose whales that are overly excited to see each other after being separated by many an ocean and moon.

Side B of this edition brings us POCKET LOVE. Or shall we rather say, Side B gifts us "Pocket Love"? Because we believe this is nothing other than a gift to us all. Imagine looking into a kaleidoscope and turning the dial and experiencing all those colors as pockets of love rushing your way and exploding in satin wonderment the moment they past your eyes and ears. Imagine how it must sound like if all the e mails, tweets, facebook posts, instagrams, pinterests, grandma’s postcards, text messages, letters on rice paper, hearts scratched into trees, declarations of eternal loyalty written in sand, phone calls and videos of the whole universe were all messages of love stuffed into pockets and sent to you. Imagine the treasure you will receive! Imagine being one big ear drum and listening to the very energy that this love exists of – imagine it and you will find yourself inside "Pocket Love".

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher’s third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus- years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden Ravedays is an epic album of 24 longer than usual tracks that was released in January 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period.

The 12th and final edition of The Golden Ravedays album will be released on record label Hippie Dance in December 2017.

Side A is the ballad of Late Night Skanking. True to the soul of skanking this track is weaving its delicate elements between the rise and fall of a monumental wave that teasingly never breaks. The main melody so seduces and hypnotizes that before you know it you’re a wide-eyed cobra waving away in a basket.

Standing ovation! Hands in the air! He made it! The very last track of Superpitcher’s epic Golden Ravedays odyssey is a jovial spree, a hullabaloo of merrymaking, the perfect celebration of the beginning to end of this heroic album. Punky Reggae Party is a fantastic collision of festive sounds, beats and voices that bring us undecipherable messages and everything else that is far beyond nice, nice, nice. Encore! Encore!

Exclusive Filament Deejays '1 p.m.'

Newly founded Dutch label Filament's concept is quite simple yet effective and reveals deep insights into the founders' mindset. As 'Deejays', label heads and promoters the Filament crew aligns the procedure of an event to the music they put out on their label. Consequently 'Fest I', the label's debut EP, includes four tracks, each representing a different stage or chapter of an event, with each track ready to be played at a different time. While '4 p.m.', '8 p.m.' and '11 p.m.' come from Monty, Møzaika and Hysteric, the track that gets it all started, '1 p.m.' is the preserve of Filament Deejays themselves. But not only does '1 p.m.' mark the EP opening, it's also Filament Deejays' production debut. Warm synth chords combined with a Japanese vocal introduce the listener to their premiere work and set the pace and tone for what is to follow in the next few minutes in the track itself as well as the event, where the track is played out. A triumphant chorus is accompanied with the implementation of subtle acid sounds, which at first hearing seem to get off and take on a leading role, but remain in the background and serve more as carrying track element that still leaves enough space to the afore-introduced synth-chords and the soft vocals. A day or event couldn't start any better than with a sound-aesthetics as Filament Deejays provide their audience with.

'Fest I' will be released on Filament on July 17th, 2019.

The phone rang and rang, its high-pitched tone resounding loudly around the room. Each time he let it ring out, far too inhebriated and anxious to face the conversation on the other end. But he knew she'd only stop calling if he picked up, and the longer he left it the more out of his depth he felt. What if she wanted to talk about her inner feelings? Or her deepest, darkest desires? He would like to know her better and what did he have to lose really? He inhaled deeply, cleared his throat and lifted the receiver.

Sonic astronauts Viscera present a new Galactic Service Broadcast: "a musical initiative that aims to raise credits in support of some of the most vital humanitarian services and organisations." Bringing together a strong line up of friends and peers, the compilation features the likes of Jonny Rock, JD Twitch, Nightwave and Kincaid, calling on the close ties they've made with artists over the years through their enlightening blog and mix series. 

Our pick of the bunch is opening track 'Correction Dub', a sleazy dub creation from Formerlover, the new project of Swedish singer and fashion stylist Sofia Hedblom and her partner, producer DJ and artist Justin Robertson. Blending elements of reggae and Lagos disco with the dark sonic underbelly of lo fi house, the track occupies the twilight region between a tropical sound system dance and an inner city basement, where nights turn into mornings and back again. ‘Correction dub’ is a playful take on a late night chat line conversation, where humiliation and desire go hand in hand.
