Starting and ending with some tunes from their upcoming album on Compost Records, and in between an exciting mix of gems from their collection of electronic music from the past decades. Fred und Luna say “danke schön” for listening and wish everyone “viel Pläsier”.

Living in a fashion boutique in Karlsruhe/Germany, the two mannequins Fred und Luna are the muses of composer, author, and photo/video maker Rainer Buchmüller. They hitherto have re-leased on Optimo. Bigamo, Innervisions, Teerpappe and Compost Records. 
On April 21, 2023, they will release their fourth album “Im Fünfminutentakt”, an “exquisite selec-tion of contemporary instrumental and vocal pieces with a sensitive feel for repetitive rhythms, enchanting melodies and mesmerizing sounds” (Compost). Inspired by German electronic music from the past decades, they call their music Elektrokraut, repectively Krautelektro.

Orikum Vault is a showcase for underground artists on Drymades in Dub Recordings.

Based in Albania, it is a showcase for the growing underground scene now emerging from Europe's most reclusive corner.

Deep, dub-inspired, minimalist house and techno music that reflects the mountainous vistas and rocky beaches which are so far from the established club culture scenes of other places on the continent with grooves that take their time, as if they are being broadcast from another planet.

The record delves into the haunting history of the former psychiatric hospital in Colorno (Parma – Italy, in use from 1873 to 1978). Titled "Retrograde Amnesia”, it explores the lives of patients who were once confined to the institution, many of whom were forgotten by society. 
The hospital, which is now abandoned, was once home to over a thousand patients, including those who were deemed "dangerous" or "marginalized" by society. Among them were prostitutes, alcoholics, vagabonds, and even small children. The psychiatrists who worked at the institution were free to experiment with new treatments, including practices such as electroshock and frontal lobotomy. While these doctors saw themselves as innovators and experimenters, many of the patients were no longer considered people. One of the devastating consequences of the treatments administered at the hospital was retrograde amnesia, which is the loss of memories of past events. Many patients who underwent these treatments were left with gaps in their memory, unable to recall important moments of their lives, as their identities were fragmented and their shared human experiences obliterated. Forgotten by society and stripped of their own sense of self, they were consigned to the shadows of history. 
"Retrograde Amnesia" is a haunting and emotional record that aims to shed light on the lives of these forgotten patients. Through the use of ambient soundscapes and atmospheric textures, the music captures the sense of isolation and despair that many of the patients must have felt. Enveloped in the echoes of empty corridors and abandoned rooms, one easily feels consumed by the weight of the lives that once occupied these desolate spaces.

Hello :) :) :) 

Music is such a great thing. It gives me so much and is  a big part of my life. I love to dig around chasing those classic tunes that you find sometimes, I love to share music and I truly love making music. 

I started using FL Studio years ago and I just loved it - still do. I try to make some music or art every day. If you like that as an idea, and you like some of the things I do - great. That makes me happy.

In the 80's I became interested in club culture. As a teen I was involved in running a youth club and arranged monthly disco nights that ended with slow dances. After some years dancing at regular clubs I went on an adventure to a night I had been hearing about. A night for the weird people. This first night at a techno event I felt free, at home and I felt that I had found something I wanted to be part of for the rest of my life. 

After being stuck at home because of severe illness I found time and focus to start making my own music and art. In some ways my illness brought this gift as a side effect. If you struggle with illness I feel for you. That shit sucks. 

I believe in art, science, DIY and positivity. 

Music and art are my favorite puzzles :)
