The WHite SHadow & Ubbah offer us a glimpse of spiritually infused goodness with Mantra. An impressive balance of brooding house and indian chants, guaranteed to light many a dancefloor a blaze this winter. Eleatics records drop another heavy one with this jewel of a track.

The duo of French producer THe WHite SHadow (FR) so far releasing at Stil Vor Talent, GU Music and Argentina based Ubbah (Parquet Recordings, Timeless Moment) made up an amazing release we couldn't pass over. Catching the splendid main track 'Anonymous' featuring smooth vocals of Winnick was caught played by maestro Solomun and we are sure by more melodic lovers all over the globe in future. 'Mantra' and 'The Prophet' are set to diverse the EP potential showcasing the duo's ability to provide purely different kinds of music. Music we are happy with, as simple as that, so hope you are too. We set no boundaries.

It’s a crazy world outside right now but fortunately Mobilee are on hand with some genuine ‘Common Sense’. 

Literally… ‘Common Sense’ comes courtesy of the consistently on-point Spanish producer Squire AKA ex-Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari, a man who’s been responsible for a whole string of beguiling cuts on the likes of Flying Circus, Bar 25 and My Favourite Robot in recent years. This is his Mobilee debut and, like everything he’s done in his career to date, he’s stepped up once again for the occasion.

With support from Dixon and Trikk already pledged, ‘Common Sense’ is shaping up to be one of this season’s most unexpected anthems. Introspective, measured and dusted with emotive chords, it’s coated with the dynamic harmonic vocal layers of Graham Baxter (of Flowers & Sea Creatures; the inimitable deep indie game-changers who burst through on Buzzin Fly 10 years ago), and has the emotive potential to stop a dancefloor in their tracks and take their breath away.

It’s complemented by ‘Peacock Ritual’. More majestic in its epic church-like glow as arpeggios spiral upwards into the ether and crystalise before your ears, this is hypnotic peaktime material right here make no bones about it. The perfect foil to ‘Common Sense’… A crazy world can also demand crazy moments of total dancefloor immersion.

PREMIERE: Several Definitions — Void (Pauke Schaumburg Remix) [Anathema Records]

Daniele Di Martino kicks off his 2020 on a strong footing with a tasteful new outing on Mono.Noise. Phantom opens up with shimmering percussive lines and rolling drums that make for dark, engaging yet hypnotic listening. Eternal is another edgy track that shows off his mastery of synth layers that keep you on your toes, while also laying down more rubbery drums to carry you late into the night. Erly Tepshi remixes and does so with a more hard hitting approach to drums, which are upright and dance, and cosmic melodies keep you looking skywards. This is exquisitely evocative house music with fantastic use of melody.
