Conducted, dreamed, in- and exhaled by Benedikt Frey and Tim Toh, featuring cosmic whisper and aerospace vocoder poetry by Lisa Toh, Tyler Pope, Lukas Diller and Niklas Wandt. Tripping music, dancing with organic Reprazent-break-infinity, saxophone melodies, Neu-Kraut-transcendence, nervous drones, gloomy bass figures, minimal pop and manic computer malfunctioning tones. All wrapped in a warm void of Melancholie, touching the eternal with murky gloves. Pointillist tunes, thoughtfully peculiar, seriously serious. Now is all they need. Now is all they want.

Eine Welt presents Künefe as the second instalment in their limited 12inch series. 
A two tracker too hot to lick, spiced up with sweet Turkish herbs. A delicate oriental pearl, that’s until now only served in the finest Turkish cuisine. Produced and written by label owner Alexander Arpeggio and Danish artist Nixxon. 

The title track is a romantic homage to the sweet Turkish dish Künefe. Wrapped in 80s production NDW style, flavoured with analog synth melodies and erotic schlagerish German male vocals. Hotter than melted cheese this track will set any dance floor on fire.

The flip opens with a sensual vibe. Op beni Künefe is an anthemic, ferocious and hard rocking slow jam. Hip shaking bass line and flirty lyrics by Istanbul artist Hilal Can.
For those afraid of vocals, the record ends with an instrumental version of the title track.

We premiered first NAAR some weeks ago with the track Le Clerc by Man Power. "Not An Animal" returns with their 2nd installment, this time from Ess O Ess (aka Chris Stoker co head-honcho of the label and his pal Jamie Blanco) Package is made of three tracks, the original mix backed with two remixes. One being by japanese Chida, owner of "Ene Records" and the other featured here, by prolific Los Angeles producer Suzanne Kraft (remember the devastating "Renee Running" under his moniker "Dude Energy") with a juxtaposed tropical techno - with added dub - approach to his interpretation. It's out early junuary 2016, Enjoy !

First on the scene is HLLW (pronounced as 'hollow') who churns out an organic drum'n'bass banger with eerie layers of odd vocal echoes and a gurgling bass rumble. 
Label boss Kenneth Bager himself sits down with the trio to rework the material into a dark brooding extended mix that could easily fit the soundtrack of a John Carpenter flick. 
Last up and fresh on the scene, Upping the tempo considerably the NYC duo of Bryan Mette and Justin Strauss (yes, THAT Justin Strauss!) dons their Whatever/Whatever mantle to flesh out the original into a much more hungry club creature, agile and warmer yet with that air of New York cool that really hits you on all levels.

Silent Riders - I See You (Whatever Whatever Remix)

JUNO REVIEW: Fresh from delivering a suitably intoxicating chunk of feverish tribal techno on their own Belly Dance Services stable, Hanzo & Yaman bring their trademark brand of percussive dance music to Tom Tom Disco. Title track "Tropicalas" is notably different to its predecessor, with the pair layering up wonky chants and South American style percussion over a looped synth bassline. It's hugely endearing and celebratory all told, and comes backed with two bonus cuts: the hypnotic ethno-techno throb of "Titaporn" and the quirky nu-disco/percussive house bounce of "Hola Hola". Of the trio of accompamying remixes, we're particularly enjoying the loose, acid-flecked breakbeat shuffle of Lily Haz's rework of "Titaporn" and Tony Disco's exotic, Middle Eastern disco revision of "Tropicala".
