'Benz Bargain Bin Bossa' was also previously released in May 2011 on limited edition 7" vinyl - Club Tikka 45 Vol 5 / MUTO 017 (Germany) 
This version is a 2010 update of a track made years ago in a session with local funk legend, DJ Benz, a pair of 1200's and his amazing 7" vinyl box. Many thanks to Helmut at Legere Recordings and Mr Confuse for putting this out on good ole wax and thanks to DJ Benz for an enjoyable evening of rifling through the vintage vinyl.

Kidboy is an upcoming producer and versatile musician based in Granada who is always
searching for a balance between organic and electronic sounds. On his debut EP he teams up with vocalists such as Ohmega Watts, BluRum13 and Julio Cesar Rodriguez and a bunch of excellent jazz musicians including pianist Juan Galiardo. Bored by too many monotonous releases out there Kidboy wanted to present a diverse EP – with percussive Broken Beats, heavy basslines sounds and Latin instrumentation on the one hand and very mellow and jazzy
Hip Hop tracks on the other!

The EP starts off with Yo Me Voy De Aqui a progressive dj-tune filled with organic latin
samples and an enormous sub bassline – one truly for the dancefloor! Also on the latin tip,
Changüí De Manteca features cuban singer Julio Cesar Rodriguez on vocals and
percussion, Cesar's Salad pianist Jo Junghanss on keys and Andrew Linch on sax on top
of an energetic Broken Beat.

Eventually Kidboy takes you back into the 90's – the golden era of Hip Hop – with organic
beats, jazz driven instrumentation and sophisticated rapping. The Culture features Ohmega
Watts, a virtuoso rapper from the States who has released on Ubiquity and already worked
with well-known acts such as Quantic, The Bamboos or Breakestra. A Moment To Think
presents BluRum13, known for his project One Self with DJ Vadim and Yarah Bravo, who
came to Granada to collaborate with Kidboy.

San Sebastian, in the North West corner of Spain, is the home of the best tapas in the country. It is also home to Makala, a DJ and producer that’s been making waves over the last few years with tasty club rocking tunes that fuse old school rumba, salsa, reggae, swing and mambo with breakbeats and chugging 4 to floor beats. This June Lovemonk is proud to present Makala’s 2nd long player ‘Unexpected Tapas’, where his fusion of traditional music with contemporary club productions reaches it’s zenith.

The album collects his previous singles “Partió La Tabla / Cartoon Tune” (2009, Lovemonk) and his killer second double 7-inch called “Vamos a Comer” (2010, Lovemonk) and adds a load of new tracks and remixes from DJ Farrapo (Agogo), Dusty (Jazz & Milk) and Dubben (GAMM). It’s an extremely varied album taking in the reggae and ska flavours of ‘Ska Con Booglaoo’, ‘Máquina De Amor’ and ‘Friendly Fire’, the swinging breakbeats of ‘Cartoon Tune’ and ‘Happy Sound’, the latin-beats dancefloor gold of ‘Meneíto Magistral’, ‘Vamos A Comer’ and ‘Partió la Tabla’ and many more!

Makala’s strapline line is ‘Happy Sound’, a fitting and self explanatory term, you can clearly hear joy in his music. And just like any of the many tapas bars in the old town of San Sebastian, with a myriad of tasty delicacies covering the bar, this album is full flavoured, exciting and very satisfying! Perfect for the summer’s parties ahead, throw it on the turntable, grab a cocktail and swing baby!

“Fi-Filé” is Zurich based hip hop/electronic instrumentalist Unda De Sango’s second EP, which will be released on May 19th via Boyoom Connective. Being heavily taken by the creole language, culture and different music styles of the French West Indies during his stay in Guadeloupe, he crafted 6 tracks which play with several samples and show the colourful and captivating soundscapes of this beautiful spot. The album’s concept is expertly complemented by the talented Guadeloupean singer Meemee Nelzy on one track, and is accompanied by contributions from Melodiesinfonie and Maloon TheBoom who deliver a stellar finish touch with not one but two remixes.
