Free folk improv group based in Brighton, working with silence as much as sound.

BIO: After meeting in the Autumn of 2011 Joshua and Ingrid began improvising together, each having specialised in performing stripped-back solo gigs in their respective instruments. Rebecca joined on cello in the summer of 2012, after performing as a trio for the first time with Joshua's sound installation 'Restraint' using drips of water. Each member has their own individual background as a sound artist and in their specific instrument, generating the richly nuanced interplay you can hear in these recordings.

Susurrations are now on indefinite hiatus as we pursue other projects, thank you to everyone who came to see us live over the last few years and listened so attentively.
