Boasting two albums, a New Zealand and UK Frantic residency, various coveted awards and over 100 releases on some of the best labels around, his uplifting and future-proof musical concepts, accompanied by his unique and eclectic live performing style means he is truly loved all around the world.

In a scene that has been extremely quiet of late, it's undeniable that AKEN has been one of the main guys continuously pushing the hard house sound. 
Best describing his sound as a mix of hard house and hard nrg with the infusion of trance, he lists a mix of artists such as Robbie Muir, Dave Curtis, Random but Raw Jody 6 Tom Parr and Future Resonance as today's influences as well as the legends such as Andy Farley, Guyver, Technikal, RR Fierce and The Edison Factor. 

He's been hard at it since the early days of Trance Junction in 2004, spending years notching up gigs on his belt such as 
Daydreams, Adrenalize, Impulse and being one of the residents at PLAY! 
Amongst a number of highlights on his gig list, the most notable is him playing at Frantic and Frantic Timeless. Easily the most sort after gig for any hard house DJ in Sydney. 

Aken also has been building upon his skills in the studio ensuring that his rep as a DJ was supported equally as much as his production skills.
His early production covering a cheeky bootleg of BK's 'Wanna Ride', 'Relentless' alongside Keely and Wazskinel, 2011 saw Aken and Yoshi releasing 'The Beginning' on Eyedeal Digital. 
Last year saw Aken making the trek to the UK to get involved and experience the scene first hand, checking out how they do it at events such as Frantic, Hard Dance Ibiza and Hi-Oktane.
It was also during this time he was able to share some time in the studio with Dave Owens. 

As the resurgence of hard house continues in the UK and here in Sydney, it's obvious this is one guy you should keep your ears open for.
