Over the course of 150 releases, Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records has established itself as one of electronic music’s key imprints. Their latest is another special offering of well sculpted club sounds that come from the talented Fairmont.

Jake Fairley aka Fairmont is an electronic music producer, live performer and DJ from Toronto, Canada, who has put out three albums, the last of which came on this label in 2012. His artful EPs have come on labels like Border Community, Days of Being Wild and his own Beachcoma imprint as well of course on his home from home, My Favorite Robot Records. Out of the studio Fairley has long held a reputation as an impressive live performer and is currently in the process of putting together a new show. This brand new show will feature hardware he has built himself from studio components, encased in perspex and lit up like the setting sun; expect something special, part live show, part art installation!

This latest release opens with the compelling ‘Carthage’ a track built around lush layers of supple and reflective synths. Big bass broods below and the effect is trance inducing and serene. At eight minute long this epic piece of work never outstays its welcome and instead just lulls you deeper under its electronic spell.

Next up, ‘Loose Teeth’ is another elongated track that progressively builds and builds in exquisite fashion with Sasha-esque synths bubbling away. It’s widescreen and intergalactic and full of class. Last of all, this transcendental synth trip concludes with the gorgeous ‘With Closed Eyes.’ Landing almost fully formed, it is slick and sleek electronic music with long tailed pads, carefully decaying synth lines and a kinetic sense of energy with whispered vocals up top.

Spine tingling and sure to take any DJ set to the next level, this is a sublime trio of tracks from Fairmont and MFR and sets the stage perfectly for the live show to come.

Alberto Iovine and Alessandro Fumagalli aka Modular Project announce the launch of their new label, in partnership with Rebirth Records.
 
Born and raised between Como and Milan, Alberto and Alessandro quickly shared their love for electronic music and the great passion for vintage synths and drum machines. They started to produce together in 2012 and released on labels like OFF, Moodmusic and Perpetualis Music before joining Rebirth in 2017 with their remix of the Blond:ish classic ‘Wizard Of Love’.

The 003 is a special Ep from Modular Project on the label. ‘Alphaville’ is an hypnotic journey through shades of indie electronica, new wave and their signature sounds, while ‘Another Glimpse’ is a beautiful emotional slow workout. The package comes with two strong remixes from Nuno Dos Santos and Fairmont. Amsterdam dj and producer Nuno Dos Santos reworked 'Alphaville' adding a darker and trippy touch, while Jake Fairley aka Fairmont, key force in the canadian electronic music scene, gave 'Another Glimpse' a beautiful deeper and atmospheric appeal.

This year Natura Sonoris is celebrating a significant milestone - 10 years of music - with a compilation series. Coming in 4 volumes, the compilations showcase the best of the label from the last decade selected by the label boss Henry Saiz featuring tracks and remixes by label artists and collaborators like Marc Marzenit, Pional, Damabiah, Cora Novoa, Guy J, Third Son, Tuff City Kids and many more other friends we´ve released throughout these years. Carefully selected packages of old and new stuff - these are the tracks that helped to forge the unique sonic path Natura Sonoris is known and loved for.

With this release we want to celebrate all the amazing artists that have made Natura what it is and all the fans that have supported us for all this time. Thank you for keeping this dream alive and here´s to another 10!

Earlier this year, @c_a_r aka Chloé Raunet’s second album 'PINNED' was released to huge acclaim from the likes of DJ Mag, Resident Advisor and Trax Magazine.

The first of two multifaceted remix EPs out later this month, 'PINNED Up' realises the powerful dancefloor potential of Raunet's material and features contributions from the likes of Marcus Worgull, Bawrut and Lokier. @michael-mayer-kompakt heads up the release with a remix that unleashes the latent kinetic energy and emotive power of original album closer 'This City'. It went down an absolute storm when he dropped it at fabric the other month, and now you can listen to it above.

Writing this text right now feels awkward. When we received this demo in late 2019, pictures of people dancing barefoot on soft grass at picturesque open-airs unfolded before our inner eyes, as for us, Blindsmyth’s "Gryllidae“ represents the quintessential summer track. 

But now, late in March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic is in full effect. Currently, we don’t know if a single open-air or festival can take place this summer or if we will be able to enjoy the season the way we are used to, at all. However, this major uncertainty is no reason for us to change our release plans, as even if our activities will probably be limited this summer, "Gryllidae“ will still be your friendly companion. The beauty of this track is its ultimate easiness, even though it is full of edgy moments and elements. It is a very unique composition, motivating you to listen to it over and over again, discovering something new every time. 

Berlin-based Blindsmyth, who has shone before with releases on Diynamic and Cosmic Society, was able to create something with "Gryllidae“, which many producers often try to achieve, but mostly fail: Perpetuating the feeling of summer with a piece of music.

Founded in 2014, the Sweet Music project was conceived with the aim of promoting electronic music in its entirety, but always with a melodic touch! Our DNA is to publish what we like, both emerging and already influential artists, and the same goes for the labels.

In 2025 we passed the 60 millions listener mark, and Sweet's little sister, Past and Future, our second channel open to all styles, passed the 20 million mark.

With the same passion, we'll soon be celebrating 10 years of the project, and keeping our DNA.
