Aestum’s self-titled debut album is an in-depth journey into supreme and tranceformative soundscapes. Oscillating around the apex of spacious power ambient and drone, the compositions recorded during 2020 combine monolithic electronica with decaying fantasies and slow-motion euphoria.

The imagination for the album was inspired by the idea of panortosia (universal reform) as described in old scholar books devoted to inter-communication and sacrosanct harmonies in order to find a way into divine temple and shining lux (eternal light).  
From sonic perspective Aestum created a juxtaposition between warped atmospheres and distant remnants for a state of trance, a multiverse vision of feeling that was evoked by timeless parties and almost religious peak-time club anthems during end of 90’s and 00’s when Aestum as a duo of young friends were entering dancefloors across Europe.  With this attitude every composition - often accompanied with dreamy messages and heavenly choirs of Dutch vocalist Bobbie 0rkid - marks its own emotional landscape and reaches new enigmatic spheres.

Influenced by this concept a New York based multidisciplinary artist Emma Pryde created visuals for the album - not just the cover where the story of panartosia is being told across the front and back cover, but also transformative videos for tracks Panortosia and Himmel. Using pure elements like heaven or meadows on the base, she added layers of imagery from sci-fi effects to more ancient and religious images, warping and blending into each other, leading into a fantasy that represents the past and future, and gives a meaningful hope.

With the double compilation “Infinite Summer: Ekstase & Fantasi”, katharsis celebrates the return of raves and concerts to society after a long period of pandemic shutdown. A magical summer has passed filled with an incredible pallet of emotional material, ready to be expressed. Therefore, we encouraged a collection of artists we adore to channel their imagination of the greatest way to conclude an endless summer night into a piece of music.

This resulted in a grand assemblage of harmonious manifestations, naturally splitting into two divisions with opposing focuses. On the first part of the duology “Ekstase” coming out on September 20th, we are presented with fourteen tracks for the dancefloor in an array of different styles, ranging everywhere from energetic morning vibes on the junglish opener “Origin, Gate's Dawn” by Yem Gel to hardcore sensations on Mang’s trap-infused roller “Based Halo”.

lloydfears is a Berlin-based MC, performer, and artist from the North of england. Their EP Saint & Ogre is the first solo project on POSTWORLD.
After the cathartic release of lockdown anxiety on Gressive [Infinite Machine] and the delicate re-emergence into the outside world on Self-Soothe [xenonyms], on this new project lloydfears brings listeners along on a shared exploration of the possibilities of hope. Over four tracks, Lloyd uses hope as an emotional and logical response to the daily dose of dystopia.

Bungalovv - Glued Armor (ft. Efe Ce Ele)

The 33rd release of katharsis is the EP “unearthed, recovered” by the Canadian artist online threat. This release pulls from the dissociated feeling of re-discovering artifacts of remembrance that were once thought to be forever lost, and finding a glimmer of hope as a result. The project accesses a flurry of genres - hard trance, noise, and ambient all find a place here, packing contradicting sounds together in order to birth new sonic possibilities. “unearthed, recovered” is emotional, grotesque and at moments beautiful with its sense of longing and melancholy, a crescendo of tensions followed by an exhale.

On this release, online threat excavates the hidden sonic potentialities of field recordings, samples and synthesis, borrowing their voices to spin immersive narrative tales through his stream-of-consciousness improvisational method. The EP is the artist's third release, following the EP “Memories of Dawns Lost” and the full album “Contrapuntal Transfiguration” on labels surf and Absurd TRAX, besides a couple of self-released tracks and mixfiles. The artwork was made by Matej Mihevc (@h.265_/) who framed and contextualized a painting by Victoria Palacios (@victoriapalacios_), reflecting the sense of decay and reminiscence that the album thematizes.
