This is a FREE download  from Switchstance Recordings compilation "Fantastic Freeriding 4 - NOW (cat.-no. SRDR 021) that was released on the 8th of november 2013. It features Martin Perna, founder and member of the mighty ANTIBALAS from Brooklyn/US, on flute. It´s a heavy breakbeat hommage to the positivity and strength of Robert Nesta Marley aka Bob Marley aka Tuff Gong.

Whether hailing from the US (DDAY ONE, NICKODEMUS, MAKER), the UK (DIESLER), France (AZAXX, HUGO KANT), Greece (CAYETANO, FLECK, KILL EMIL), Slovenia (JK SOUL) or the ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS' homebase of Germany (PROTASSOV, RAZOOF) – the featured remixers have all been chosen for the friendship and admiration they've shared with the 'nauts.

This is the snippet mix for the Amlak Redsquare´s single "Judges (Kabanjak Remix", which is out on the 4th of August 2017.

Jamaican singer Amlak Redsquare, the nephew of legendary Dancehall artist Spragga Benz, is an upcoming energetic Reggae artist with a strong political dissent in his music. 

After performing on the same Reggae event in Cologne as Switchstance Recordings head Tom Strauch that meeting resulted in a vocal feature on Kabanjak´s latest release „Dubs & Downs“. However that collaboration was just the start for more to come. 

While having his solo album „Book Of Judges“ out making heavy rotation in the international Reggae world Amlak asked Kabanjak to do a remix for his title track „Judges“. That one come out so strong that it was an easy decision to give it it´s own proper release. 

Being big time Reggae heads we here at Switchstance Recordings are happy to present this uplifting but same time socially critical artist who brings back the positive power and guidance of the original Rastafari movement. Welcome to the world of Amlak Redsquare!

"Switchstance" is taken from the culture of boardsports, meaning the skill used to change the stance (easily) by switching one's foot position. The stance in freestyle Snowboarding or Skateboarding, is either riding in "regular" (left foot forward) or "goofy" (right foot forward) position. This identifies a really skilled rider and opens up a whole new world of trick combinations.

The label's creed and therefore the style of its producers and DJs is to have ultimate freedom, whether in their musical movements or in "switching" between various styles. The aim of the label is to combine early musical influences such as Funk, Jazz, Latin, 90´s Hip Hop and Reggae with the most progressive techniques of electronic music production in order to create a new dynamic sound that pays respect to the diverse cultures it comes from. It is the soundtrack of the lives of artists that dedicate their time and energy to produce cutting-edge grooves for a conscious and openminded generation.

Inspired by the label members' and friends' lifestyles in music, boardsports, arts and travels; the sound of Switchstance is always in motion and reflects a unique vision and attitude towards modern life.
