Presenting one of the sickest and most well respected names in dubstep, drum & bass, jungle and beyond; it’s @jkenzomusic 💥

We’re HONOURED to be able to share this one, especially as he’s gone all in with a multi-genre madness. Blending garage, broken beat, dubstep and even some slick 140 jungle. 

For us, J:Kenzo was absolutely pivotal in guiding our younger selves through the deeper, darker and more stripped back side of dubstep. His earlier stuff on Tempa Records around 2011 - 2014 was ridiculously influential and led us through the depths of underground music with a  bass powered torch that never really died out 🔦 

Every time we’ve seen him play live it’s been 10/10. The most recent being Outlook U.K. in that SWEATBOX of a tent. Shout out anyone in attendance cos that was overly hot n heavy 😤

Bring it forward to now, and J Kenzo is still absolutely smashing it. You can see him on some of the biggest lineups around nearly every weekend. Regardless of the BPM, Kenzo has tracks to tick every box and has in more recent years started dropping more dnb and jungle tracks and is still sitting at the top lineups all over the world 🌎 

He’s got forthcoming a Metalheadz EP we’re proper gassed to check out. Kenzo jungle bits are serious ☠️

It’s also a madness how often producers get on and remix Kenzo’s tracks - it’s an immediate sign of respect when so many heads jump on a remix duty, and often maintain so many of the original sounds and flavours of the og track. 

There’s not many platforms J:Kenzo hasn’t played or released on at this point. A few to mention; @bbc1extra, @rinsestagram, @outlookfestival, @metalheadzmusic, @djmagoffical we really could go all day with this… 

You’d be wise to check his recent @subtleradio birthday b2b special with @djyoungsta @spmc - his ongoing Subtle residency is really something. He’s been reppin them for years, with his Artikal Music Show poppin off every time 🔊

Heads up - BRISTOL gang, you can catch him spinning a jungle set at @rupturelondon’s next big one at The Trinity Centre on October 10th, alongside the usual Rupture royalty as well as some newer names. Large up; @dj.mantra, @doubleorupture, @stretch_ako, @asha.binx, @blackeyemc and @mcchickaboo - this one is a must attend 🔊

Detroit’s Jon Dixon is set to bring to life his new “Paradise Valley” EP, courtesy of the British imprint No Speakers. An artist with a deep foundation in classical studies since his youth, Dixon has consistently woven a sophisticated Jazz sensibility into the fabric of his Techno productions. His respected history with labels like Freerange, Kaoz Theory, and Nervous, just to name a few, speaks to a seasoned creator who understands the soul of dance music. His freshest vinyl outing promises a dynamic journey, featuring reinterpretations from LA Synthesis and El Prevost, the label honcho himself, alongside a potent digital bonus from Ollie Drummond that demands attention.

Where the original mix of “Layers To This” builds on Dixon’s reliable groove, Ollie Drummond’s rework confidently shifts the entire axis of the track toward a breakbeat framework. He masterfully re-engineers the composition into a driving, peak-time offering built for motion. The result is a certified floor-filler, where raw, melodic synth lines slice through an impeccably constructed lattice of percussion.
