The first milestone moment that gives any true sense of perspective, five years is a special moment for any creative endeavour. Especially in the turbulent world of the 21st century music game. 

Transcending trends, algorithms, diminishing attention spans, a global pandemic and everything else the world has thrown at us all, since 2016 ICONYC has grown from its humble roots to establish itself as one of the most trusted and exciting platforms in house and techno. 

With its near-permanent residence in the Beatport Top 100 and a dizzying menu of spin-off operations from high-profile Red Bull TV series ICONYC TV to the ICONYC Production Academy, ICONYC has consistently stayed true to its vision: to champion the most exciting, authentic and innovative house and techno out there, to encourage the next generation, to celebrate the universal language of the dancefloor, and to craft special releases like this powerful mix from leading New York resident tastemaker Allies for Everyone.  

Part 2 delivers 25+ tracks over the label's five years and featuring a who's who in progressive house and melodic techno, the mixes reflect the many sonic shades and moods of ICONYC. Allies for Everyone digs deep into the label's floor-focused melody-heavy techno and progressive vaults to deliver a timeless, emotive and enduring mix as he poignantly plots the coordinates between where ICONYC has been, where ICONYC is at and where ICONYC is heading.

-BIOGRAPHY-

One of the main names in the electronic scene in Brasília, resident since the beginning of the renowned project 5uinto, in addition to being elected one of the best DJs in Brazil by the specialized magazine HouseMag in 2009, Hopper has played in festivals such as Skol Beats, Brasília Music Festival and Universo Paralello. , etc; and clubs like Warung (SC), D-Edge (SP), Lov.e (SP) and Garage (MS), Vozz (MT), always listed among the best in Brazil and the world. He has already provided artistic consultancy for major festivals and events such as Brasília Electronic Music and My House Music Conference, in addition to running the program Tronika, on radio Cultura FM 100.9, for five years, specializing only in electronic music. Currently, he's also dedicated to his own releases, producing tracks and remixes for several labels such as Prisma Techno, Plano B, Central Dogma, Cause Og, as well as for his own label (Mind Connector), some in collaboration with his friend Carlos Pires, always looking for create the deepest and most melodic sounds of techno. It also has projects such as the legendary FUS3/// party and the recently created We Are Back, which promote the city's electronic scene, as well as being the creator and owner of the Play Dance Repeat brand, which manufactures t-shirts, hoodies and bags for the audience segment more focused on electronic sounds.

Music was present in his youth, at a very young age he already had contact with some instruments, but it was from the synthesizers that the great emotion arose. Since then, his love for electronic music follows his steps. In 2008, the desire to show the different sound that made him move arose, so he decided to venture into a cabin, and it became increasingly common to see his name in Line Ups at electronic music parties in the south of Minas, intensely living the scene of the region. Joining the experience acquired in command of the booths for more than a decade and the keen musical feeling, in 2015 he started his studies focused on music production, reaching expressive results in a few months, which made it possible to take his authorship music to his presentations, and launching in established labels in the market such as PRISMA TECHNO, THREE HANDS RECORDS, MIND CONNECTOR, PRISON ENTERTAINMENT.

"Music has been all along a solid thing in my life, but it took me some time to fully get into it , professionally wise. it all started when I lived in London, where I got involved with an amazing music community, and the very special sort of music they play. I traveled a lot around the world and lived in different places. Every place has its own unique type of music which helps, nowadays, to avoid define my style as I combine all those elements I picked throughout the years. However, the foundation for me, when creating music, is the African vibe. Personally, I feel uplifted when i use African instruments as I have a really strong connection to Africa due to the time I lived there in my youth."
