Silk Royal is thrilled to present Silk Remixed 05, the fifth installment of the annual series. Kicking off this year's edition, Silk veteran Terry Da Libra contributes a modern rework of the 2008 classic "E3" by Polish talent LavKastor. Having recently released "Onirikon", the most supported single of his career, Terry has undoubtedly elevated his compositional prowess yet again this year. His uplifting and truly inspirational take on "E3" proves to be another timeless classic by the Greek phenom.

The exceedingly talented duo of Airdraw & Noar return to our imprint with a lush interpretation of Piramex's "Aquamarine". Working off the hypnotic original melody, the Argentine duo offer a variety of additional midrange layers, leading into a jazzy and truly rapturous breakdown. The funky groove and radiant melodies in the final minutes are quite captivating.

Stendahl has been on fire of late, courtesy of breathtaking original tracks & remixes alike, including his recent take on Jan Martin & Mango's "Pillows". His rendering of the Ad Brown & Darin Epsilon classic "Cold Water" finds the Russian talent in vintage form. Specifically, an elegant, smooth groove sits snugly below a deep, late-night soundscape, featuring echoes of the original melodies, as well as variety of inspiring new themes.

Finally, Indonesian sensation LTN caps off the release with a proper deep house take on one of Silk's most beloved singles: Schodt & Aida Fenhel's "White Tiger". Aida's provocative vocal is matched by LTN's erotic, after-hours groove. A gentle crescendo leads into a stunning climax, highlighted by a lustrous arpeggio and glittering pads.

One of the fastest rising Producers at the moment is the elusive SevenDoors.
A passion for music is evident, carefully crafting audio with feeling and emotion. SevenDoors is very much a concept, developed over many years and now ready to be unleashed upon the dance community.
His track ’Movement Of Whale’ (out on Diynamic) was among the Top 10 Tunes at Sankeys Ibiza for this season. Solomun has been playing it the last 6 months in nearly every set of his and it was the most talked about track of his Boilerrom Set during BPM in Tulum, Mexico. SevenDoor’s music has already been playlisted by Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Toddla T on BBC Radio 1 and rinsed by DJs such as Solomun, Scuba, AME, Gardens Of God and Adriatique to mention a few.
After remixes for Icarus on FFRR and Adana Twins on Exploited, he finally makes his debut on Exploited (his release ’Void’ was released a few months ago on the sublabel Exploited Ghetto). With ’Otec’ Sevendoors goes more Electronica but keeps his trademark sound leading “you into a dreamscape that ripples and cascades like a waterfall over large“ (DMC World).

Gregory Esayan's dazzling "Taxi" is the fourth single from his acclaimed "Pilgrim's Diary" artist album. The magic and mystery of driving at night inspired Gregory to write this gorgeous progressive anthem, replete with the evocative and often breathtaking atmospheric and melodic effects of the Russian star's best work. To celebrate one of our true favorites from Gregory's album, we have invited veteran sensations Approaching Black and Alexander Volosnikov to contribute new renderings of "Taxi," which prove to be both elegant and euphoric.

Approaching Black, fresh off a pair of beautiful 3-track EPs on our imprint, offers a vintage melodic progressive house take on the original. A punchy groove unites with the signature vocal hook, creating both a buoyant and blissful ambience in the early going. A variety of other melodic flourishes later on, including a gorgeous chord sequence and delicate piano riff, only enhance the harmonious soundscape.

Alexander Volosnikov is responsible for several standout remixes in recent years, including his recent take on Sam Davies' "Cosmos," which earned radio support from Chicane. His interpretation is infused with radiant vibes from start to finish: a "tropical" lead synth theme is simply rapturous, especially when punctuated by the heavenly vocal sample from the original mix. The muscular groove offers plenty of fuel for the dancefloor in the composition's latter moments.

ANLAYA PROJECT - MAUI / CHEMICAL LOVE EP (INCL. BEE HUNTER, T DAVIDS REMIXES)[PHW270]

This week we see a new addition to our PHW imprint, as Poland based producer Anlaya Project join our label with 2 solid progressive productions. First out is his new beauty named as “Maui”. If your things is beautiful melodies, sun drenched atmosphere and evolving chord progressions then we think we have something really smooth and special for you with this amazing tune from the shining Poland based producer. 

To add more to the release, we see a welcome return from a long time friend on the label, also hailing from Poland as we see the return from the one and only Bee Hunter. For those of you being with both the label and the genre know everything about this stellar producer. With a string of releases through our main label, he now returns and do it in style as so often before. With his superb touch to build that great grooves and still keeping the drive in these melodic tracks, he once again showcase what a great artist he is with another fine craft of melody driven progressive house music. It’s one for the money as always. 

Second to that, we see another return on the label as we turned our attention to South Africa and a producer that definitely is on the rise for 2017, T Davids. Being a producer for well over a decade, in different shapes, he now returns to us with a skilled and pounding piece of progressive trance as he took on the challenge to make a rework of the original parts. This one compared to the other versions is a more progressive trance inspired production, packed with rolling basslines, pounding effects and is definitely one for those that want to go on a bit harder for the floors. It is a truly different take and way of thinking about this track and the outcome is fair to say phenomenal.

On the flipside, we see another original from Anlaya Project, as he delivers something named as “Chemical Love” inside this package as well. This follow the same patterns as “Maui” as we see another melody driven progressive house track, filled with emotional progressions, warm melodies and all the good stuff that we like about music. Be ready for great rhythms, evolving melodies and superb synth riffs so etching to us all. 

We are both pleased and happy to bring this superb release to all of you, and we do hope this is one that will get you attention!

After about a year together with us, we see US bound producer Mark Digital as a close member of our PHW division were he has built up his reputation as a producer making great grooves including a great blend of melodic harmonies. With that said we of course welcome him back with open arms as he delivers another original though the label, this one named as “Soluente”. With his pumping vibe, throbbing kick drums he surely strikes with another massive production that he spice up with flying melodies and super tight vocal additions. He surely is a name that is to stay on the scene, working hard on building his Mark Digital moniker, he will win another line of listeners through “Soluente”, that we are sure of.

To flavour the release a little extra, we see two stompin’ remixes from respected progressive artists Dextrose and Dan Norvan, two producers that you been able to hear through the label in the past. 

First out is a long time server on PHW, as India based producer Dextrose takes on another remix on the label. Being featured on the label more than double figures over the years, he showcase another stylistic progressive rework that oozes class and style as always. We are always on our toes when we hear new musical ideas from this forward thinking producer and we can’t say less than that he strikes in full force once again with his ever surprising productions.

Mexicos very own Dan Norvan returns as well with another remix. Hammering out quality progressive and trance  music in the past, he once more proves what he is made of and that he is a producer that you will hear a lot more from in the future as well. This is a superb production that delivers a full in bloom trance styled vision of the ideas from Mark Digital that is beyond our expectations. With a heavy old school feel, he blends perfectly with new ideas how this track could be developed into something rare and special and he is taking it to perfect heights, super stuff is right in front of you and we don’t think you should miss out.

Since the August 2017 release of "The Midnight Remixed," one of the most thrilling and spiritually rewarding endeavors in our label's history, Tim McEwan and Tyler Lyle, better known as The Midnight, have released a #1 Billboard Dance album ("Kids") and toured much of North America, Europe, and Australia. It is safe to say that the acclaimed discography and global popularity of the Los Angeles and Atlanta-based duo have both grown dramatically, since we at Silk Music last had the privilege of developing and releasing new remixes of their indelible tunes. Indeed, The Midnight is currently in the midst of another world tour, which will take them through the United States, Europe, and ultimately, Mexico, near the end of this year.

Flash forward to today, as we joyously announce the sequel, "The Midnight Remixed 02," featuring brand new remixes of more favorites by The Midnight, from "The Years" (off their debut EP, "Days Of Thunder") to "Lost Boy" (the first single from their most recent LP, "Kids"). This time around, we have recruited a cast of (almost) entirely fresh faces on remix detail, including legendary synthwave artist Timecop1983, indie-electronic phenom Uppermost, acclaimed retro-tinged act ERKKA, and deep-and-dark-progressive maestro Nox Vahn. Russian sensation PROFF, the only artist to appear on both 'Remixed' editions, offers a visionary take on "Kids" that brims with creativity, power, and musicality alike. Rounding out the extraordinary roster of remix artists, Silk Music veterans Claes Rosen, Dan Sieg, Kobana, Blood Groove & Kikis, Jayeson Andel, and A.M.R all deliver emotive and inspired renderings, ranging in style from introspective deep house cuts to cinematic-electronic power ballads. We are truly overjoyed to finally reveal these emotive and intelligent new takes on eleven more of The Midnight's celebrated classics, all of which have never been remixed before.
