Our next international guest goes by the moniker @doragray. A DJ and  vinyl collector from Finland part of The X-Rust Organization and an active member of the local scene of Turku since her teenage years. After buying turntables in 2006 Dora Gray was mostly into house and techno music, but right after, her taste evolved into more electro sounds and broken beats while growing a soft spot for acid. When it comes to mixing, she always strives to find harmonies so as to tell a compelling story through music, and that is what she has definitely done in this 42nd N2MU podcast. Enjoy it!

After several years making music for different labels and having played at many significant clubs in our country, @abizsonko is ready to introduce us to The Kropotkin Ensemble. A new moniker -tribute to the famous Russian anarchist, philosopher, artist, etc.- with a noteworthy political message used by the Spanish producer to make people think about our society, reflect on their role in it and thus, fight for everyone’s welfare through music. In this 2-hour 41st N2MU podcast he opts for the fierce side of our beloved genre combined with subtle melodic segments and a casual oldschool vibe that is very much appreciated. Enjoy it!

Familia UEMA, vamos con la nueva entrega de nuestra serie de podcast. Hoy toca la número 096 pero bien podríamos decir que se trate de la 808, y es que vamos con una de Electro, y del serio, y además, Viste Chándal!
Vamos rumbo a Catalunya en busca de uno de los artistas Electro más genuinos que tenemos el gusto de conocer, hablamos de Spy Dj aka The Bandit.
Spy Dj es todo un veterano de nuestra amada escena Electro, el tito Bandit lleva desde finales de los 90 dando guerra, repartiendo Bass y partiendo Cajas sin más.
Su trayectoria es extensa y bien reconocida por los que amamos este estilo y vamos a tratar de resumirla. Como productor Spy Dj usa el apodo The Bandit y comenzó a editar en torno al 2008. Su estilo es sinónimo de potencia y efectividad, muy cercano al Miami Bass pero con su toque personal que lo hace fácilmente reconocible. Sus trabajos han visto la luz en sellos de todo el Planeta como Audiovisual Theorem, Prodamkey, Subsonic Device, Tropical Underground, Kirófano de Audio, Artifexbcn, Electroclub Records, Bass Agenda, Crobot Muzik, Útil records, Urban Connections o GSVC…
Además, como Spy Dj ha paseado su arte a los mixers por salas como Nitsa (Bcn, de la que fue residente), Moog (Bcn), Razzmatazz (Bcn), Siroco (Mad), Specka (Mad), Miniclub (Vlc), Suicide Circus (Ber) o Griessmühle (Ber), eso sin contar la multitud de eventos subterráneos en los que ha hecho sudar al personal.
Spy Dj es un gran artista y también un currante de los grandes, siempre vinculado a la escena Underground y luchando por ella. Muestra de ello son los diferentes proyectos que ha llevado y lleva a cabo con el único fin de defender la música en la que cree. Proyectos como Electroclub Records, donde nos dejó los grandes recopilatorios “Don’t Stop Da Bass” o los más recientes como Útil Records o Gente Serie Viste Chándal, donde forma parte de un equipo que está llevando a cabo un trabajo exquisito, lanzando releases de Electro desde la calle hasta nuestra maletas.
Sin duda que Spy Dj es todo un referente y un ejemplo de constancia y dedicación, algo que en UEMA apreciamos y respetamos. Por esto para nosotros es todo un orgullo contar con él y su magia.
Para esta ocasión Spy Dj nos ha obsequiado con un set de Electro muy bien rebuscado y mejor pinchado, dejando claro que su pasión va más allá de las modas pasajeras o los hits del momento. Dead Violets Night is the stage name of the DJ and producer who founded El Garaje de Frank. A track by the Turkish post-punk project Rain To Dust served to capture the flavour of the French DJ's sessions in an image. 

Originally from Savoy, but already a key part of Madrid's nightlife, Dead Violets Night took her first musical steps in the world of metal, playing the guitar in various bands. Later, she fell in love with electronic and dark music and swapped her guitar for turntables. From El Garaje, she has promoted the most underground electronic music scene and has attended all kinds of European electronic festivals. Although she started DJing at the end of last year, the pandemic has helped her to dedicate herself body and soul to the decks and make a great selection of EBM, acid, industrial techno and electro. 

Her first sessions saw the light in the medium she helped to found and had a fantastic reception internationally but soon she stared collaborating with other labels, such as Zyrcadian Editions. Her debut as DJ was in the legendary club Specka, and she has show her skills at Killing Time in Valencia. A lover of darkness and dynamic, eclectic sets, you can always find some EBM and acid in her vinyl-only mixes. Without a doubt, there are plenty of dead violet nights ahead of us.
