Haven't done one in a while and probably won't for a while now, so decided to do an all Cello multitrack of a favourite film theme - In Dreams from Lord of the Rings - I hope you enjoy!

Recently I sent an Application by postal services to The BBC Radio 2 Young Folk awards, with this piece of music as my audition piece. Just this evening I received an email which read that I had unfortunately not been unsuccessful in progressing to the next stage, but I am happy to have tried all the same.  

This is a contemporary piece of music which was written by a very good, local friend of mine, Greg Harper. He wrote this song a few years ago and it is of striking poignance as it tells the story of a young local man who bravely gave his life in the Great war of 1914-18. 

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my rendition of, Birdsong.
