I thought I'd make an Egyptian scale track since I just recently mapped out that key in order to find all of the most exotic chords in it.  I even used French, Italian and German augmented 6ths in this song, plus a variety of different shell chords (chords that omit the 5th tone). Shell chords are incredibly useful because they allow you to squeeze chords out of a scale that otherwise wouldn't be there. This was especially useful for this scale since there aren't many chords on the II and III.  

I was able to master this really loud for a soundtrack song without ruining the dynamic range. In fact, I think I got it as loud as I possible can without doing damage. There's still a full dynamic range in to. I used pretty much all of the mastering tricks I know to do that.

Anyways, I added horror elements in the last bit of working on it since I was entering it into a halloween songwriting contest when i made it. I'm glad I did since the beginning and end part came out of that which turned out to sound really cool.
