“The Last Fanfare of Us” is a sweeping, cinematic gospel-soul opus from The House of Christian Eusterqnute. Across ten original tracks, the album journeys from whispered intimacy to full-throated catharsis, weaving together:

Epic Orchestration: Majestic brass fanfares and sweeping strings underpin every chorus, punctuated by thunderous timpani and ambient choir pads that lend each song a film-score grandeur.
Soulful Vocals: The lead’s breathy, “naked” tenor/baritone delivery transitions seamlessly from near-whisper confessions in the verses to powerful, raspy belts up to G₄ in the climactic refrains—each performance tinged with controlled vocal-fry that amplifies the emotional stakes.
Choir Dynamics: Monumental SATB gospel choirs alternate between intimate “ah” undercurrents and soaring, multi-layered harmonies, echoing themes of heartbreak, unanswered love, and redemptive grace.
Lyrical Themes: Poetic, heart-aching lyrics conjure images of fading stars, shattered vows, and divine solace—invoking both the pain of betrayal and the sustaining power of faith and forgiveness.

Lennon recorded the original demo around 1977 at his home in the Dakota Building, New York City. The lyrics reflect love, longing, and emotional vulnerability, typical of Lennon’s late-career songwriting.
This 'virtual orchestra' version was recorded with a MacBook Pro, running Sibelius Ultimate and NotePerformer5. Orchestra arranging, piano, vocals and bass performance by me. Lennon's vocals are from the original demo.

Per l’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, il rapporto con la città di Bucarest e con il Festival George Enescu è un rapporto antico ormai. Così Mauro Bucarelli, il segretario artistico della prestigiosa istituzione, parlando a Radio Romania Internazionale in occasione del primo concerto tenuto dalla sua celebre orchestra il 30 agosto, nell’ambito della XXVII edizione del Festival Internazionale George Enescu.  L’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, diretta dal maestro Daniel Harding, è salita sul palcoscenico della Sala del Palazzo (Sala Palatului) di Bucarest assieme al Coro London Voices e al mezzosoprano Magdalena Kožená. Il programma ha incluso la Sinfonia e le Canzoni popolari del grande compositore italiano Luciano Berio, dalla cui nascita ricorre il centenario, nonchè “La Mer”/ “Il mare” di Claude Debussy. “Veniamo qui piuttosto regolarmente ed è sempre entusiasmante trovare un pubblico tanto attento e partecipe”, aggiunge il segretario artistico dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
Il secondo concerto dell’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia del 31 agosto, sotto la stessa bacchetta di Daniel Harding, assieme al pianista sudcoreano Seong-Jin Cho, propone la Pastorale-fantaisie di George Enescu, il Concerto in do maggiore per pianoforte e orchestra n.1 di Ludwig van Beethoven e la Sinfonia n.2 in re maggiore di Johannes Brahms. “Il Festival George Enescu è uno dei festival più importanti in Europa, un punto di riferimento per tutte le orchestre internazionali”, conclude Mauro Bucarelli. I concerti tenuti dall’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia hanno aperto la serie di presenze italiane al Festival George Enescu, tra cui l’Accademia Bizantina sotto la direzione musicale di Ottavio Dantone o Il Giardino Armonico e il coro NMF, diretti da Giovanni Antonini. Il maestro Daniele Gatti dirigerà la Staatskapelle di Dresda.
L’Opera Nazionale di Bucarest presenterà l’Oedipe di George Enescu, sotto la bacchetta del maestro Tiberiu Soare, con la regia di Stefano Poda. Radio Romania, coproduttore del Festival George Enescu, e le sue orchestre e ensemble – l’Orchestra Nazionale Radio, l’Orchestra da Camera Radio, Big Band Radio e il Coro Accademico Radio, sono protagonisti di cinque concerti. Il 10 settembre, la Big Band di Radio Romania, diretta da Simona Strungaru, sarà presente nella sezione “Enescu al Control”, una novità dell’edizione 2025, che porta la musica classica in spazi nonconvenzionali. I solisti della serata ospitata dal Club Control di Bucarest saranno il celebre sassofonista italiano Stefano Di Battista e Sebastian Burneci, prima tromba e solista della Big Band di Radio Romania. Il 12 settembre, Alessia Tondo salirà sul palcoscenico dell’Auditorium (Ateneul Român), con la conduzione del celebre artista israeliano Avi Avital, accompagnato dal suo mandolino, per presentare musiche tradizionali pugliesi, siciliane e non solo. Il 21 settembre, nell’ultimo giorno del festival, l’Orchestra Nazionale di Radio Romania, diretta dal maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa, salirà sul palcoscenico dell’Auditorium di Bucarest.
