It’s hard to pinpoint Keisuke’s style down to one genre as the London/Berlin-based artist fuses various sub-genres from electronic music like Minimal, House, Deep House always remaining true to his partly ambient- and atmospheric note. With releases on Phonica or 20/20 Vision Keisuke has proven the later but not only holds this quality when it comes to own productions but also when putting together the latest edition of the art:cast series, where he smoothly switches between the sub-genres always having a melodic-note grinding over smooth, partly crunchy yet minimalistic basslines.

Emerging from the epic Scottish house and techno scene of the 90s, George started his musical adventures as a DJ and then promoter, bringing to Scotland DJs from Chicago, New York, Toronto, Paris, and London to play at the legendary Tribal Funktion parties in Edinburgh.
 
Aside from co-founding Edinburgh's Underground Solushn record shop, he also started producing his own blend of techno and house in the mid-nineties. This led to a string of releases with seminal labels such as NRK, Stickman, 2020 Vision, Crosstown Rebels, Tirk, and more recently Greco-Roman, Optimo, and Output Recordings. After a move to London in 2000 the George T moniker began a long hiatus. Nothing was heard until Joe Goddard released an EP of rediscovered gems on Greco-Roman in 2017.
 
His various monikers from then and now include Plastic Avengers, George Demure, and more recently as one half of Jeanga and George. He collaborates extensively, with some of his most recent projects featuring actor Tam Dean Burn, percussionist Mairi Buchanan, soul singer Joseph Malik and Paranoid London’s Quinn Whalley. He continues to share his eclectic tastes on his monthly radio show “All Noise” on Edinburgh’s EHFM Radio.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.

Joe has been been trying to craft the perfect transition between two records for the last 30 years,  one day he'll get there but until then,  welcome to the official home of Brutal Willis where we specialise in the exclusive currency of Global Electronic Soul. 

I managed Vinyl Frontier Records in Woking,  Surrey for the best part of a decade..... living, breathing,  loving and sharing repetitive beats.   I have been fortunate enough to grace the platters at lots of different clubs,  events and festivals up and down the country and Europe.  I co ran the legendary night "Shuffle" (which may come back one day).  I won the coveted "bedroom bedlam" mixtape award for Muzik magazine, residencies at the Cross, The Pool , Piranah's and 333 in London and was awarded the Percy Thrower Lifetime achievement award for services to the green plant.  I have played at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Kimberley, Orchard amongst  many others and more recenly a regular fixture at the Give ! festival for House of Honey.   These day's I can be found deep in stock pots working culinary magic for all kinds of people,  however you may still catch me behind the platters (that matter) as much as I can.  I love music with a captivating groove, a glowing warmth,  sincerity and emotion however it comes and still relish the opportunity to share my sounds manually through the medium we know as Vinyl.  As long as it's available I will continue to support it,  everything about it just works and I believe it helps strengthen our beloved scene.

The Why people dance question was asked for the first time in Lithuania back in 2013 but it gained a worldwide echo in its 8 years of existence. Run by @pauliuskamblevicius with the help of @experimentsserial and a network of collaborators, the online electronic music platform and label keeps its heart open for new friends and treasure finds but its filter tight and deep underground. Dsum stands out as a highly versatile producer and sound engineer within the Colombian electronic music scene. As a raver, DJ, and Vinyl Collector in the late 90s, inspired by Hip Hop, Chicago House, and Techno, he started recording music in 2004 and soon after released his debut EP via the renowned Monofonicos Netlabel, quickly followed by his first vinyl release, "Collage EP." 

A sound engineer by profession, he has been involved in the mastering stage of projects for many Latin American producers. Currently based in the United States, he remains dedicated to crafting diverse musical projects for his own labels, Back Door Records and Play Function Issues, with a primary focus on nurturing talents from South America.
