“The Book” is one of the most emotionally raw and personal songs I’ve ever written — a classical rock ballad that captures the moment I finally told my mum the truth: that I had been sexually abused when I was around eight years old.

Written in 2003 and first released in 2014 on my debut album Time Machine – Reflecting Shattered Dreams, this 2025 AI-reimagined version breathes new life into that moment of painful honesty.

At fourteen, I was torn between silence and the unbearable weight of memory. The lyrics unfold like a confession — a boy’s attempt to open his “book of shame”, haunted by feelings too heavy for his young heart to carry. Each verse is a page from that book — fragile, fearful, but necessary to read aloud.

The arrangement builds with emotional precision — beginning with soft piano and strings, then swelling into electric guitars and orchestral textures that mirror the storm of confession. The chorus, “Why must I fall and break your heart,” captures the impossible fear of hurting the one person who’d always protected me.

The closing line — “I cried” — is not just a lyric, it’s the truth. There’s no dramatic ending, only the release that comes when silence is finally broken.

“The Book” isn’t about blame; it’s about courage — the courage to speak, to face the pain, and to begin healing.

Whilst I’m waiting for my official concept album A Human Odyssey (due January 2027) to be fully produced, here’s a preview of one of its featured tracks — though this version is an AI interpretation.

I actually wrote A Dream Haunting about ten years ago — strangely enough, while taking a shower. Inspiration has a habit of catching me off guard like that. My upcoming album version will be closer to the original demo I recorded back then, featuring my own vocals rather than AI ones.

The song itself is about a man who encounters an other-dimensional being — a radiant, ethereal entity who reaches out to him across the veil. She offers him visions of his past lives and the interconnectedness of all his experiences — love, pain, joy, and sorrow. Through her guidance, he begins to understand the deeper meaning of existence — that our lives are echoes of the same eternal soul, learning and evolving through time.

This AI version captures the dreamlike, otherworldly atmosphere of that encounter — a haunting reflection on what it means to awaken to the truth beyond the human veil.

“I Can See You, Beyond the Veil” is a cinematic country ballad — a story of faith, loss, and transcendence inspired partly by a true life event.

A father stands at the crossroads of grief and grace. For years, he’s raged against heaven, unable to forgive God for taking his son. But one morning, after a dream that feels more like a visitation than sleep, he wakes with a stillness he’s never known. Something sacred has shifted — as if the Holy Spirit has passed through him in the night.

Drawn by that divine pull, he walks to church. The air is heavy, yet charged with light from the stained glass windows. He kneels, torn between pain and gratitude, whispering thanks for his son’s life. Then, in the quiet glow of his prayer, the veil between worlds lifts. There — radiant, smiling — stands his son. For the first time, the father’s heart is free.

This AI interpretation is not the final version that will appear on my forthcoming concept album “A Human Odyssey” (due 2027). I wrote “I Can See You” in 2019, while sailing alone through the Canary Islands, at the same time I wrote “The Bay of Biscay.”

The original demo, featuring my own vocal, is now being produced by Dan Cooper, and will serve as the closing track — the final chapter — of the 16-song journey that forms “A Human Odyssey.” All being well, I’ll be back in the studio in early 2026 to record the complete, non-AI version.

“Redeeming Grace: The Awakening” unfolds like a cinematic prophecy — where divine power meets alien revelation. Built on a pulsing synth bass and metallic percussion, the track surges with industrial energy as orchestral strings and bold brass from the orchestra rise like a storm.

Heavy guitars drive beneath angelic soprano harmonies — ethereal voice floating like light breaking through clouds. The operatic chant echoes across cathedral-like reverb, blending Slavic folk and sacred mysticism into something both haunting and holy.

It’s a moment of reckoning — humanity’s judgment day, painted in sound. The mood is divine, emotional, and transcendent… a slow evolution from fear to grace, from darkness to awakening.

This is the AI version of Redeeming Grace, taken from the Stage 1 production by Dan Cooper of my original demo. The finished original version will appear on my 2027 album “A Human Odyssey.”

An anthem for those who believe salvation might come not from heaven — but from the stars.

I previously released Time Machine – Reflecting Shattered Dreams (2014) and continue to revisit my archive of songs written across 35 years, reimagining them with today’s tools and sounds. Some pieces remain intimate and acoustic, while others expand into dark rock, industrial, or orchestral landscapes — but all are connected by a focus on emotional honesty and cinematic storytelling.

Beyond music, I’m fascinated by the intersection of creativity and technology. I’ve been experimenting with AI-driven composition and production to bring old demos to life and to spark entirely new works. For me, these tools are not replacements for human artistry but extensions of it — ways of unlocking stories and emotions that otherwise might have remained hidden.

At its heart, my work is about connection: to the past, to the future, and to the unseen mysteries of existence. Music, for me, isn’t just entertainment — it’s a chronicle of transformation, a conversation between spirit, science, and sound.
