Keith Armstrong is a fellowship attorney for immigrants’ rights at ACLU-PA (American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania):  a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to defending and protecting our individual rights and personal freedoms.

Keith joins the show to further talk about the initiative of ACLU PA, and to further educate people on the rights they have, in regard to ICE coming into people's homes and schools to potentially deport people.

El pasado 22 de enero, la Unión Americana de Libertades Civiles (ACLU por sus siglas en inglés) demandó a la administración Trump por el programa que permite a los funcionarios de inmigración llevar a cabo deportaciones expeditas (Expedited Removal en inglés).

La ACLU afirmó en documentos judiciales que la nueva guía vulnera la legislación federal vigente y la cláusula de la Quinta Enmienda sobre garantías procesales, ya que casi suprime las audiencias judiciales completas a las que tienen derecho los inmigrantes.

“El debido proceso exige que tengan un juicio justo, algo que esta norma les priva”, dice en un comunicado de prensa la ACLU.
