Undertale: Apophenia is an AU taking place after an incomplete pacifist run by Frisk, leaving the underground in strife.

Papyrus, who'd previously been an ally to you traversing Snowdin Forest, finds himself suddenly surrounded by a crowd of insurgents who want you dead. However, due to some miscommunication, they seem to be under the impression that Papyrus actually CAPTURED you and brought you to them, and are cheering him on for it. Papyrus' ego quickly gets the better of him, and the battle commences. Will you be able to convince Papyrus that you've been his friend all along, or will you find yourself riddled with bonearrows?

She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

In this branch, Spamton takes the role of Mettaton. Papyrus knew that a new entertainer needed to be built and, with his creativity too focused on building traps for a Human who had yet to even enter the Underground, he decided that another robot would be the right option to fill that void.
However, this is Papyrus. Robotism has never been his strong suit.
And so, the mess that is Spamton G. Spamton was the result. A popular spectacle, for sure, and certainly a big shot. However, nobody will ever make a deal with him so, even now, he feels unfulfilled; he's a salesman, he's not in it for the money. And even now that his wildest dreams have come true, he isn't happy with the hand he's been dealt. 
In the genocide route, Spamton encounters Hare early on and is coaxed into abandoning monsterkind, and joining them at destroying everything he's hated about the world he was forced into.

Furtherfell is a series of AU’s, set after Canon Underfell's various hypothetical neutral endings. It is based off of the concept of Aftergore, but differs in the protagonist in the new human, Hare. This may differ in some points from Underfell, whether it be due to there being no information yet or simply things we decided to change.

Honestly I didn't realise that it'd been that long. 500 followers and a whole year of making this stuff.
This whole AU has done quite a lot for my mental health. Working on this has built my self-esteem and kind of reminded me of what few talents I actually do have.

"One year ago, on this date, we released and announced "Where We Left Off.", a cover of the Aftergore track of the same name to the, at that time, new Soundcloud Account for the officially endorsed Aftergore spin off and AU, Furtherfell. It was just a little fun side thing a few of the Aftergore team members felt would be cool and interesting to do. Really with how inherently convoluted the premise was, adding more to an already rather complex concept, I didn't think it'd go anywhere, and that it'd be stay rather niche. It quickly grew way beyond what I imagined it ever could reach, and I'd like to say, partially gaining it's own audience separate from Aftergore as well, though we certainly had a generous head start not afforded to most new AUs. 
Honestly I still can't quite believe we've been going that long. An entire year is a very long time, and one I can't even entirely grasp my head around. I really didn't think that we'd ever even get here, nevermind the fact we got here in just a years time. Seriously, 500 whole people, listening and caring about the things we make. This is by far the most popular project I own, and I'm only here because of the people who've helped the team. And sure, the path to getting here has been rocky sometimes, we've all gone through a lot this year, and yet, despite all that, we still miraculously ended up here. I really couldn't've ever done this without everyone's support. But more specifically, while I appreciate all of my team members, I want to give my thanks to Spudward especially. He's the only reason this project goes on the way it does, and I need to thank him more. And thank you to the community! The people who tune in every day for this. Thank you so much. No, seriously, I really wouldn't be the person that I am today without this silly little niche convoluted project. I've met so many friends, learnt so many things, done so much... Hello, Furtherfell (or should we say AFTERG.O.R.E) community! After reading a comment on our song "die hard.", we came to a realisation. The trajectory of this AU is all wrong!
(Note: Do not harass this commenter, they weren't insulting us. Their genuine, polite question has merely led us to a beautiful epiphany.)

Furtherfell isn't meant to be an expression of our creativity and love towards Fella's masterful AU! After all, we're not fans of how they wrote Asgore and therefore the entire AU must be hot steaming dookie.

So, starting with this absolutely masterful song (made by the great and perfect and very handsome Spudward who definitely did not write this message, no siree), we are changing our wicked ways. Focusing back on Slick Silver and DashingToadie's masterwork of AFTERGORE, and just making it edgier.

The reason we're making some tracks for it is simple: considering there is no basis for a truly canon Underfell, with even the creator considering their works to be a take on the AU (underfell.tumblr.com), we need to have some sort of a formalised Underfell for us to Further the Fell of.
And so, we get this. Furtherfell's mostly-Canonfell-based Underfell.

Dreemurr Castle is an original area that Frisk explores before Track 71 tells the story of Chara and Asriel, intimidating and filled to the brim with royal guards. There, they find hints to the events that occurred and what life is like under Asgore now. This is where Frisk will make their last stand, fighting the collective power and anger in the Underground all placed in a single vessel. The king awaits their attendence.

"Furtherfell - Neutral in Name Alone" does not exist.

In this branch, Gaster has done something he hasn't been able to do for a very long time: exist. With reality seemingly destabilised and several characters suddenly missing, Gaster found himself capable of breaking through the fold and back into the world he lost so long ago. His first instinct was to move back into his old Lab, which is where he is situated now.
Despite being somewhat on-edge and paranoid due to the events he's experienced, Gaster is generally a kind and welcoming Scientist who's just glad to be able to return to his old life, to some extent. He misses Alphys, of course, but he'd accepted he'd never get to see the people he cared about again a long time ago.

It says here FURTHERFELL is a SERIES of AUs, what are its variations?

FURTHERFELL has several variations to represent the different neutral outcomes which UNDERTALE (and therefore UNDERFELL) can have. We do not have all of the hypothetical variations possible out as branches, since that would take too much work, so we only have Incomplete Pacifist (Rethroned) King Mettaton (Drama! Romance! Bloodshed!), King Papyrus (Vive La Révolution), and.. That one doesn't exist. Also there's a self insert.

How do neutral endings work? Are you using the Trust, Betrayal, and Closure system? 
FURTHERFELL does follow the Canonfell system of neutral endings, which is explained at https://underfell.tumblr.com/post/651913101407584256/these-are-just-thoughts-and-im-spewing-ideas-i. Hare's run doesn't follow the traditional Trust, Closure and Betrayal system from UNDERFELL entirely. Hare is capable of killing monsters on their own.
Frisk's actions did follow the Trust, Closure and Betrayal system. But with a twist we won't reveal yet.
