Darklands (Annihilation) lives in a grizzly and grainy dimension created thanks to dirty, yet clean noises. Aiokai’s drum programming goes to the next level in this new concoction of his, fitting it all together with screechy and hellish basslines, damnable foghorns, halftime drums and even ragga vocals. It all goes back to the artist´s old school roots, together with contemporary sound design. This is by far, one of Aiokai´s most interesting and mature fabrications. Prepare to be transferred into a world of insanity, aberrations and frenzy.

Aiokai’s gritting and brutal Darklands (Annihilation) single has received the remixed treatment by 2 of Mexico’s most exciting bass music producers. This time, the neuro production has been turned into a banger by Daxl, who fuses his metal style with dubstep/drumstep, giving the original song two very varied drops with some 175 bpm halftime madness and the typical dnb beat. Darkho goes deeper into his experimenting habits turning the heavy hitter into a hard techno flip by using the hellish basslines and damnable foghorns over a 4 on the floor pattern, and by going even more insane in the second drop. It is easy to say that these two versions are equally demented and ready to make the dancefloors rumble and the moshpits bloody.
