Then, something incomprehensible occurred. The Big Bang wasn't an explosion in space from a particular point; it was an expansion of space itself. From this singularity, the universe began expanding, rapidly increasing in size and cooling down. As it cooled, energy transformed into matter, and fundamental forces emerged, shaping the universe. From pure potential, the structure of reality — particles, atoms, stars, galaxies — began to form.

What “caused” the transition from nothingness to something is a mystery. Some theories point to quantum fluctuations, where even in a state of "nothing," there’s a tiny chance for particles to appear spontaneously.
