Experimental DnB with a 1950's vocal that I sampled. This track is a testament to prove that AI will not be able to invoke what humans can through music, that soundwaves moves through us, through frequencies and vibrations we find random similarities for our brains to rationalize. Through machines similarities become so frequent that our brains begin to hear indifferences that are not actually there, proving that even the most boring things in this universe - if shown enough, will in fact become interesting.

Brand new spiritual jazz from the genius Julien Dyne gets things started, before a haunting collaboration between Dave Lisik and Richard Nunns leads into a post-rock classic from Higher Dependency, shoegaze from Alastair Galbraith and legendary Tom Watson as part alt country trio Cassette. 

There’s a fair Strange Behaviours on this episode, with Japes, Stephen Gallagher, Box of Hammers, Peace Point, Saint Mercury, Call Centre and eszsa included. 

Clementine and Valentine Nixon majestic harmonies and the brilliant Orchestra of Spheres then lead into a really enjoyable 45 minutes or so of quality dancefloor gear, with Burns & Tubbs, Manuel Darquart, Colter Carson, Cory Champion, DJ Name and 1-800 PRIVATEDRIVER supplying the juice.

Born on a Kiwifruit orchard in Riwaka, Flex Webster lives and breathes music. DJ, Producer & Record Collector with a career spanning 25 years, music has taken him around the globe.

Flex attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Seattle (2005) and has won numerous DJ competitions over the years. Having a pretty broad musical scope these days his current obsession is with worldly Funk & Boogie sounds.

In 2023 Flex teamed up with Australian label That’s Not An Edit to curate the first New Zealand edition of their compilation series. His tasteful update of Letta Mbulu’s ‘Nomalizo’ one of the best performing tracks from the collection.

FUNKIN’ DONUTS celebrates everything funky on the 7” format. A Jam Session first and foremost, Flex has recently put out a series of edit packs under the brand with an ultimate goal of releasing 45s.

Flex is also one half of Shared Soul and has a new alias Mr. Bump which is an outlet for his Bass / Rave leaning material.
