Dave Ellesmere began life in Southport, UK as a hardcore punk drummer in the venerable band Discharge, who have seen covers by none other than Metallica. Subsequently, he developed an affection for classic Detroit and Chicago styles of techno, and lists DJ performances at festivals like Awakenings, Welcome to the Future, Tomorrowland and Mysteryland. Dave is a producer that operates the outstanding Belief System record label and has two techno albums on Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt, as well as releases on Sven Väth’s Cocoon and Radio Slave’s Rekids. In addition, he has also collaborated with 2000 and One on hit club tracks for 100% Pure, to having notable admirers such as Jeff Mills and DJ Rush. This exclusive mix is unsurprisingly a raunchy percussion workout with full-throttle, rolling grooves and interesting hook highlights brimming in energy. Proving to be one of India’s most notable techno acts, Audio Units are made up of brothers Ashwin and Ashrith who draw inspiration for their productions from science fiction, spatial geometry, architecture, and nature. Beyond their artistry, they are founders of an electronic music school, nightlife agency, and record label called Observant, while having also released their music on renowned imprints such as Abstract Division’s Dynamic Reflection, Coyu’s Suara, Joton’s Newrhythmic, and Jay Clarke’s Blackaxon amongst others. As DJs they are highly experienced having a huge gig history listed around India and Australia, sharing line-ups alongside influential names like Function, Richie Hawtin, Stef Mendesidis, Paula Temple, Recondite, and Arjun Vagale. Kicking off the year with a new compilation, Art Bei Ton presents their 5th VA, featuring 9 international artists. This 8-track journey highlights a diverse range of Deep Techno influences, from dark atmospheric sounds to trippy, dancefloor-oriented tunes.

Opening the VA, the talented Polish DJ and producer Aksamit invites listeners toexplore a dark universe through her Ambient/Experimental track. The two Portuguese artists, Floating Machine and Inerte, collaborate on this ritualistic Half Tempo track, infusing it with psychedelic sonorities.

Master of powerful Hypnotic Techno, Georgian artist Petit Astronaute weaves new incantations into his track. Paris-based DJ and producer Nao Nhil takes us on an abyssal journey to the trippier, trancier side of the genre.

Mesmerizing audiences for years, Italian DJ and producer Viels offers us another driving masterpiece. Through her track "Loose Control," Nnamael delivers the perfect Mental Techno cut for the dancefloor.

Known for his dark and bouncy productions, PEIX casts a mystical spell on the listener with his track "Lævateinn." Wrapping up the release, the talented Indian duo Audio Units embrace some polyrhythmic Deep and Trippy sounds through their immersive sound design.

When techno is in your DNA you don't need additional translation to understand it.
This is the case of Hugo Rolan, a native of the north of Spain, more precisely Asturias, has been Asturias, has been exposed to techno and futuristic sounds since he was a teenager, and now in his maturity
since his adolescence, and now in his maturity we can say that he masters the language to perfection.
He has been primarily DJing for two decades, remaining under the radar 
in the local underground scene while working a conventional day job. In his spare time, he has been learning production skills, delving into music creation software and hardware, training hard and quietly until he felt it was time to go public with his work.
The wait has been worth it, and in 2022 his first work has been published onone of the most recognized ceiling labels of the moment, Warm Up Recordings, managed by Oscar Mulero, a very interesting debut album full of techno.
The second reference of his discography is released on one of the most 
important labels worldwide, nothing more and nothing less than the Axis Records owned by Jeff Mills, a work that makes us get closer to his creativity and gives us an idea of where he is heading.
Thanks to this start he has been able to publish on different labels, with works on Incense Records, Legend 1997 Records, Illegal Alien, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, SUB_tl, Prophet Recordings, Semantica Records, FautSection, Abstract Mechanisms and several VVAA on Fenómenos Records, West Rules, KeyHole Records, Voyager Recordings and Loopaina Records.

He is currently a resident of Lanna Club, where he can be found in the club's monthlymonthly program of this club.
An example of a true techno lover living in the real world,
loving the music carefully until the right moment puts him in the right place.



Cuando el techno está en tu ADN no necesitas traducción adicional para
entenderlo, este es el caso de Hugo Rolan, oriundo del norte de España, más precisamente de Asturias, ha estado expuesto al techno y los sonidos futuristas desde su adolescencia, y ahora en su madurez podemos afirmar que domina el lenguaje a la perfección.
Ha sido principalmente DJ durante dos décadas, permaneciendo bajo el radar en la escena underground local mientras desarrollaba un trabajo diario convencional. En su tiempo libre, ha estado aprendiendo habilidades de producción, profundizando en el software y hardware de creación musical, entrenando duro y en silencio hasta que ha sentido el momento de hacer público su trabajo.
La espera ha valido la pena, y en 2022 su primer trabajo ha sido publicado en uno de los sellos de techo más reconocidos del momento, Warm Up
Recordings, gestionado por Oscar Mulero, un álbum de debut muy interesante y lleno de techno.
La segunda referencia de su discografía se publica en uno de los sellos más importantes a nivel mundial, nada más y nada menos que el sello Axis Records propiedad de Jeff Mills, un trabajo que nos hace acercarnos a su creatividad y nos da una idea de hacia dónde se encaminan su sonido.
Gracias a este arranque ha podido publicar en distintos sellos, con trabajos en Incense Records, Legend 1997 Records, Illegal Alien, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, SUB_tl, Prophet Recordings, Semantica Records, FautSection, Abstract Mechanisms y varios VVAA en Fenómenos Records, West Rules, KeyHole Records, Voyager Recordings y Loopaina Records

Art Bei Ton is an artistic project focusing on merging electronic music and visual arts, though the promotion of events, podcast series and a label.  

Organizing events in Berlin and Europe since 2018, our goal is to create some immersive experiences, offering Hypnotic Techno/Ambient DJ sets and live acts, together with VJing, art exhibition, interactive audio-visual installations, performances, panels and workshops.  

Curating international artists, we want to embrace more inclusivity in the scene through the promotion of diverse and gender-balanced line ups. It is important for us to highlight female artists, queer actors of our community and fight together against all kinds of discrimination.
