We are welcoming the onset of summer here in India with a special mix from the mountain ranges of Italy. Born and raised in Avellino, Italy, Raffaele Marchitelli's music is inspired by the sounds of the mountains. His love for nature leads him to search for continuous emotions and sensations to transmit. 

An amalgamation of the more organic, free flowing sounds of nature with the more metallic, acute and experimental sounds of the cityscapes is what makes Raffaele an artist to watch out for in the near future.

ASCENSION #129

Auggië caught our eye with his release on Toto Chiavetta's label Borders Of Light a few years back. We were quite impressed with the intricate layering of elements in his productions.

Hailing from Milan in Italy, Auggië creates warm harmonies using his first love, guitar and his other analog instruments. Being multifaceted and polyhedral led him to work with various projects and artists who helped him discover his essence, something he expresses at his residency at Volt. 

With releases on labels like Innervisions, Borders Of Light, MoBlack, Vokabularium, Isolate and many more, Auggië has shown a great trajectory and promise. We invited him to do a guestmix for our listeners this month.

Though from a classically trained background singer/songwriter/producer/dj Cenk Karaferya aka CENKK beautifully engages countertenor voice with his electronic productions. With influences ranging from Klaus Nomi to Kraftwerk, Handel to Henze, Cenk paints a unique new soundscape. You can hear CENKK on Borders of Light, Multinotes, Automatik Rekords, and many others.

FAE is DJ and musician based in Rome.  Since she was a child, she soon discovered the love for the music, especially for the piano, passion that led her very young to begin the studies for piano and classical composition.
Always attracted also from electronic music, Fae starts to play in the clubs of
her city, Rome and she turns the knowledge of musical theory into electronic sounds, using synthetizers and producing the first experimental tracks. A special combination of emotional melodies and infectious grooves who led her to play as DJ and performer to the best international clubs and to release the first tracks on labels like Borders of Light , Innuendo, Amaeo label and getting massive support from artists like Ame, Trikk, Jimi Jules, Ivory, Echonomist, Skala, Avangart Tabldot, Re You, Sam Shure and more..
