Cititrax proudly presents a highly anticipated 12” from An-i, the musical moniker for Berlin-based Korean American Doug Lee. Doug has been DJing and producing records for two decades under various aliases and collaborations. The ‘Rabble’ EP will be the third release for An-i, and the first one since Gutz in 2015. The return of An-i has found him in even more brazen territory than on previous releases. He moves between musicality and chaos while remaining intriguing throughout – a testament to his uniqueness and integrity. The opener, ‘Rabble’, tonally crude and menacing, backed with a relentless primitive machine rhythm and a psychotic vocal parodying mob mentality, points at the absurdity of take-down culture. ‘Rubble’ follows, a mighty stripped-down instrumental dub. The flip, ‘Chapel Perilous’, is a wandering spaced-out journey into the psyche. It reflects on loss and ultimately freedom from one’s ego identity, meandering an uncertain path that results in a spiritual epiphany. “When I am nothing, everything is me”…

An-i’s Rabble EP will be pressed on 160-gram fluorescent yellow vinyl and housed in a high gloss black and white sleeve featuring ink brush painting by the artist. He established @aufnahme-wiedergabe as one of the most successful and pioneering record labels of Europe's underground scene. In addition to his work as label head, Philipp regularly promotes local shows and club nights in Berlin, and frequently tours as a DJ. He played among others in the United States, Italy, UK, Greece, France, @khidi - Georgia, EXIL - Switzerland, @szpitalna1 - Poland.

14세에 첫 턴테이블을 마련한 켄 메이어는 90년대 중반부터 테크노 디제이로 활동하기 시작했다. 켄은 그의 형이자 오랜 협력자인 칼(Karl)과 함께 Drop Bass, Black Nation 페스티벌 및 미국 중서부 전역의 다양한 파티에서 활동했으며, Surgeon, Anthony Shakir, BMG, John Roberts, James Ruskin, Spencer Kincy, Function과 같은 전설적인 아티스트들과 함께 수많은 언더그라운드 이벤트를 조직해 왔다. 그는 시카고의 전설적인 Gramaphone Records 소속으로 활동하며 WNUR, WHPK와 같은 시카고 방송국에서 매주 라디오 쇼를 진행했으며, 현재는 뉴욕 기반의 Standards & Practices 레이블을 공동 운영하고 있다. 또한, 켄은 레지스(Regis)가 운영하는 Downwards, 뉴욕 딥 앰비언트의 심장 Mysteries of the Deep 레이블을 통해 Ken Meier와 Obelus의 이름으로 꾸준히 자신의 음악을 발표하고 있으며, 2023년 8월에는 Standards & Practices 레이블을 통해 새로운 EP ‘Imitable Behaviors’를 발매하였다.
