This incredible song "Mon légionnaire", composed by Marguerite Angele Monnot and initially performed by Marie Dubas in 1936, was covered in 1987 by Serge Gainsbourg.

He then gave it a homoerotic meaning which is explicit in the associated video clip. Unmissable !

PREMIERE: Mundo D - Odyssey (Silicodisco Remix) [Mélopée Records]

Based in the Netherlands, Doctr signs here his very first release with Mélopée. A heterogeneous EP of 4 original tracks mixing its influence, sensitive and complex. A haunting musical edifice where the groove and fabulous melodies tell the story of a third kind encounter.

"First Contact" is a powerful Italo banger.
The track is definitively efficient, strong and takes off in an epic way when the melody comes.

The piece "Please take me with you" can't be explained, it can be listened to. Slow speed, captivating pad and lead, let's go for the goose bumps.

With "Peace, No peace", it's time to fight it out on the dancefloor.
The Italorave song is fast, uncompromising, unfolding a frantic rhythm.

The last original sound "Where Do We Go From Here" seems to be about hop after conflict. A splendid Italo tune perfectly cuttted to close the party.

After having remixed Panthera, it's now Panthera who takes care of giving one for Doctr. He signs here a fantastic and rolling story, inpired by 80s atmospheres. As per usual, the audience is transported, eyes closed, smile on the lips : thrills guaranteed.

To close the release, we welcome again the talented Valerj for the second remix. He gives to "Where Do We Go From Here" a darker and more progressive touch, where the tension keeps building over and over again. Awesome !

In 1985, in response to a crazy bet made between himself and comedian Richard Pryor, wagering on whether he had singing talent or not, the actor Eddie Murphy recorded the single "Party All The Time" at Rick James home studio. It reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, behind "Say You, Say Me" by Lionel Richie.

Almost 40 years later and after several really good edits, the young and talented Colombian artist Osccurate brings new life to the original title.

Hyper dancefloor, he gives it uncompromising effectiveness, between trance, dark disco and 80s.

[MRFD012] - Eddie Murphy - Party All The Time (Osccurate Intrumental Dancefloor Edit)

Introducing a new release “Formale” EP from Russian musician NQUA, which combines elements of Indie Dance and Italo Disco, creating a unique sound inspired by different musical eras and styles. The EP includes two tracks, each with its own unique character and atmosphere.
The main track of the release, “Formale”, takes the listener into the atmosphere of the wild west. The melodies, as if sounding in a movie about the Texas countryside, are breathtaking with their characteristic notes and rhythms.
The second track, “Milita”, offers a tight and smooth bassline accompanied by an Acid melody typical of the 80s-90s, but framed in a modern sound. This track combines retro mood with current musical trends.

Alberto Melloni - Sayonara

With Shimmering Lights, I aimed to make an old-school electronic track in the style of The Chemical Brothers and Underworld, but with some current production techniques.

The wonky 303 bass has a Daniel Avery Drone Logic vibe, which I see as a modern(ish) equivalent of those artists’ classic albums.

The newsreel sample was quite a late addition but really brought the track to life, and time-stretching and looping the "everything everything" vocal really doubled down on that Underworld vibe.

I'm massively stoked about the remixes for this release - a real treasure trove from the scene - and each remixer has captured that old-school quality in their own way.
