Dimas Carbajo, the owner and main man of BEATFREAK GROUP, a business alliance which is proud to include, amongst others, the first Spanish record label of underground electronic music, BEATFREAK RECORDINGS. It has been conveying this style of music to the world since 1997.

With a 25 year career path, both in DJ booths and music studios in his role as a Producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respected electronic music artists in the world. Proof of that is his album 'MADRID' for YOSHITOSHI,  which was launched on one of the most prestigious compilation series of our scene, and the only Spanish artist featured in it so far.

When he was barely 17 years old, Dimas was awarded the first prize of the Spanish DMC DJ championship, not once, but twice. From that time onwards his work was indefatigable not only as a megamixer for numerous Spanish multinational music companies, but also travelling around the entire country with his DMC gigs.

When he was only 23 one of his greatest projects came to plan, founding his first label MD RECORDS. It revolutionised the then electronic music market and positioned itself as the best Spanish label with the best electronic music for many years.

Shortly after, another project materialised.  RESOLUTE DISTRIBUTION, which is one of the biggest vinyl distribution companies in Spain, this made the Spanish electronic music become known all around the world.

From that moment D-FORMATION was born and his rise as a DJ and producer was and continues to be unstoppable. Achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of our underground scene, all the way from Tech and Progressive House to Trance.

Numerous prizes as a DJ and producer granted by the industry vouch for all those years of his professional career, most noteworthy his #39 position in the Top 100 DJs of the prestigious DJMAG magazine, the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved.

Artists such as Tiësto, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Deep Dish play his music. Labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Suara, Yoshitoshi, Movement Recordings, Nervous, and Twisted have all signed his work. 

His work has been remixed by names like D-Nox & Beckers, My Favorite Robot, Ruede Hagelstein, Victor Calderone, & Marc De Pulse. This combination has given Dimas an almost non stop yearly schedule playing at the worlds biggest and best clubs and festivals around the globe, with DJs like Marco Carola, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire and countless more.
