I wrote “Edge of Me” on the same day I heard James Hype’s new single, “Don’t Wake Me Up”. (https://tinyurl.com/5eenexvw) His journey resonated deeply. Like many artists, he had a vivid end goal and was steadily working along the path — transitioning through different stages of his reality as a professional: fear of change, identity struggles, and imposter syndrome. It was powerful to watch him finally be recognized. That moment sparked something in me.

This song captures that same emotional evolution — the moment you stand face-to-face with who you're becoming. The lyrics tell a story of transformation, from resistance to self-belief. Lines like “I think I’m in danger / Becoming what they all can see” reflect the beauty and terror of realizing your own potential. Backstory:
Four of my high school friends were playing Baldur’s Gate 3 online when one of their spouses yelled in the background, “MOTHER FUCKING PEP BOYS!” — because her vehicle wasn’t ready on time.
That moment triggered a vivid image in my head: “Norm” pushing back from his computer chair as a roadie walks across the living room, hands him a guitar, and he launches into a full-on indie rock performance.
That intrusive thought became a song… and now “MOTHER FUCKING PEP BOYS!” is immortalized on our Discord soundboard.

There’s a line in the song — “we are mandalas of time.”
When I first wrote it, the word mandalas (from Sanskrit, meaning “circle” or “sacred whole”) became an unexpected debate in the writing process
I asked ten different people how they pronounce it — and got ten different answers.
Some said MUN-da-luh, others MON-da-lah, and a few leaned toward man-DAH-lah.
In the end, no one could agree — and that became the point. Like the word itself, the song is about balance: how meaning, light, and identity shift depending on where you stand and how you speak your truth.

My Focus:

I say: “I’ll master them all.”

My writing isn't meant to be confined to one playlist category. Every moment is a mood, every lyric is a poem, and every song tells a story. I refuse to limit myself. Writing music across genres isn’t just a skill—it’s my passion. I have no desire to change who I am to meet industry expectations.

Where Am I Today?
I can write in any genre, any language, and on any topic. I have access to any instrument and can create with any vocal style—male or female. But at my core, I am a writer, not an entertainer.
I feel timid stepping in front of a microphone—exposing myself vocally is still a challenge. There are skills to master and fears to overcome before I record my own voice or perform live. But I am comfortable behind the DJ decks.

Where Am I Going?
As I navigate my place in the music industry, my goal is to split my music into three primary genres and sign with labels that align with each sound:
