Daïf ─ Space Traveller [AOD014]

Frenchman Daïf is an artist who needs careful consideration and has been on the lips of many of the tastemaking outfits for some time, but it is time for him to receive some much-needed time in the sun. Via his own Luminaere imprint as well as two exceptional outings on Art of Dark, Daïf continues to tread a path less worn and this is very much to his benefit. He is a well-known figure on the world scene and is regularly off on his travels past and upcoming gigs taking him to Asia, South America, and all around Europe.

It is evident why he maintains such a high work rate as his flip on muscular house packs a hell of a punch while still keeping that funk running throughout his robust grooves. From the opening track of his InSession recording Daïf tasks no prisoners and makes great use of shortened percussion, room-filling atmospherics, and basslines that could raise the dead. We are confident you will keep coming back to this mix and discover gem after gem.
