Welcome to The Konklave - Winter Solstice Festival Mix.  

The Konklave Winter Festival was held on the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd June 2024, and was a collaboration between 

The Konklave and Die Joint in Hartbeespoort. A 2 day Drum & Bass (DnB) event that was extremely well attended,  The Digital Shaman had the privilege of opening the two day festival on the Saturday morning with 2 hours of Desert Tech to create a safe and welcoming medicine space as the festival goers set up their tents and eased into the magical space.  

This set takes the listener on a mystical and transcendental journey, deep into the desert and far away lands with its use of haunting Arabic sounds, leaving one in anticipation of what comes next, inspired largely by many of the gems found on the Café De Anatolia record label. Though not so kissed by sun, nor by mud or dust, our rosy cheeks, tired eyes and pulsing hearts emerged from this mesa weekend no less overflowing with appreciation and joy. Our feet still aching with the memories of the music that moved us through the night. Our bodies contented with the love shared between friends, collaborators, strangers and all.

In her mixes, Lindog delivers hypnotic spiritual sounds that infuses organic elements with rhythmic Afro , Melodic house, Latino and Techno influences, celebrating diverse cultures and eras.

I've helped clients around the world with Ableton Live services.

Friends and peeps I have done work for include Brian Transeau (BT), Bill Hamel, John Graham, Alexander 'Sasha' Coe's Involved (charity benefit tour), Danny Howells, Nick Warren, AK1200, and others.

Starting in 2005 I produced some tracks, put a few records out. I was also low-key obsessed with the DJ set as art form, using Live as a tool to harmonize, restructure and re-edit tracks together in realtime ie. non-linear mixing or 'shuffle mixing'.

At one point I developed a custom 17 inch touchscreen + hardware controller setup to do it live on stage and in the studio. Played gigs around Orlando and Central Florida for a bit.

On my sets mixes are harmonized and tracks deconstructed / reconstructed in new sequences by skipping back and forward through the waveforms. I prepare samples to drop throughout.

After mixing I do post-production, fine tune the samples and/or produce additional parts to fit. Then I master the output to make it pump and shine.

I've chilled on it in recent years other than the sets. But people ask me what I've been up to and want me to keep it coming. 

I'm still obsessed with the art of the DJ set. So here they are.

Starting as a self taught bassist and later graduating from Berklee College of Music with a focus in music synthesis and production, Aric Sebastian (Solstice) pulls from his long and diverse career as a musician in all of his work. With early roots in soul, funk and disco, getting the audience to dance has always been priority number one. These days, Solstice is exploring the next logical step in the musical journey, the realm of DJing. Though you'll mostly find music based around techno and house and all of its cousins, you'll also find a little nu disco, electro swing and even trip hop sprinkled here and there as well.
