After the hallucinate EP "Give Chance A Trance", Moderna and Theus Mago return to Duro with a reissue of their first collaboration work, 'Dog Is Calling You', originally released in 2016 under Chloè’s label, Lumière Noire. The reissue includes the three original cuts and the remix of ‘Dog is calling you’ by Die Wilde Jagd, plus three new remixes by Mexico based artists Mijo & Macaulay, Alinka of Twirl Records, and the Riotvan family Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht .

The EP begins with the classic "Asesino Sicótico", a booming, dark and insane cut. It's a fusion of techno energy with house music groove. It's followed by "Dog Is Calling You", a slow mix of melted bass, orbital and acidic sounds. To close the original versions is the fan favorite "Papa En Roy", a mixture of classic techno with obsessive and repetitive bass lines, while Moderna's vocals take us on a lunatic journey.

The remix by Mijo & Macaulay of "Asesino Sicótico" is a hypnotic, insistent, and powerful cut. The bass line runs over you while the voice gets lost among synthesizers, pads, and percussion. Alinka surprises us with her version of "Papa En Roy", adding echoes of voices, a liquefying and electrifying bass, distorted percussion, and maniacal synthesizers.

Riotvan friends, Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht, give us their version of "Papa En Roy", which is a forceful and exciting cut, creating bursts of energy perfect for the dance floor. To close the release is the version made by Die Wilde Jagd, a cut with a reverberated and liberating atmosphere, the drums and bass take you to the climax while the drums hold you firmly in a slow but continuous step.

Spring 2023 saw the release of Tyrants; A rich and accomplished long-player from Raz Ohara via Denature Records that spans distorted synth-peaks, cinematic soundscapes, all the way to avant-garde contemporary classical, and jazz music.

Succeeding the LP is a collection of weird and wonderful revisions courtesy of Cummi Flu, Die Wilde Jagd, Temple Haze and Phillip Thimm who all work to twist and pull the originals into beautifully intricate shapes that are in equal parts kinetic, psychedelic and healing.

Cummi Flu's take is a loose, expressive tale that trickles like a brook; a gentle braid of melodies that subtly form a directional flow.

Die Wilde Jagd follows up with a spectral take on 'Instant Mastery' that has frazzled drums gently pattering atop murky plumes. Motion is generated steadily as spring-reverb guitar tones and sparse vocals punctuate a heady journey.

Temple Haze follows up with an allaying take on Tyrants. Progress patiently stretches out like a morning salute as Raz's vocals are granted space to occupy the foreground and ferry the listener forward.

Philipp Thimm finishes up with a deep, textural take on Pretty Bird. Chalky drums follow syncopated steps as they scatter over a dense, foggy bed adding a more rhythmic, fast-paced shade to the remix package.

Initially a modest local enterprise, the label has rapidly transformed into a dynamic global platform, showcasing an array of distinctive and captivating sounds.

✖ ✖ ✖ 22ROCKETS is a born and raised Berlin boy who grew up in the south-east side of the city. In the late 90s he experienced the last years of the unpretentious Berliner Party Age and later became a key figure in the underground music scene, organising free open-air raves in parks, as well as techno party’s in a basement of an old granary in Kreuzberg with his former collective, 4Augenvögeln.

In his mid 20s he went to India and spent a half year residency in a cultural organisation to create an exchange between the Indian and German electronic music scene. At the same time, he was then exposed to a mix tape by UK’s Hardway Bros and decided to bring this ‘New Disco’ and ‘Slo-mo House’ sound back to Berlin. At Wilde Renate he founded and promoted the ‘Spank Me Disko’ parties and other events, which hosted a slew of promising artists and came to define the future sound of the club. He also founded ‘Radio Renate’ (a live show podcast series) and then the renowned ‘Voyage Voyage’ parties in 2010 alongside his partner The Swift. The Voyage Voyage series featured dance music from cosmic and chuggy disco to house and techno. For eight years the party showcased premier and unique live acts, and a diverse array of artist performances and installations, which expanded the horizons of the Berlin electronic music scene and played a pivotal role in evolving the club's sonic identity. Their journey ended at the Renate in December 2018. Furthermore, 22ROCKETS also was responsible for booking the ‘Fête de la Musique’ event at Renate’s sister open air venue ELSE, which consisted of an eclectic mix of live bands and his own after show marathon DJ sets.

22ROCKETS has performed at major clubs and festivals in Berlin, across Germany, Europe, and internationally, earning acclaim for his dynamic sets. His musical selections are inspired by music from all corners of the globe and he changes genres and vibes often to fit his mood and emotional landscape, his only limitation being avoiding getting stuck in a loop of repetition.
